My passion is working with individuals struggling with everyday issues that challenge each of us at different stages of life. I take an experiential approach with my clients, which is "learning through reflection on doing". I relate to my clients in an emotional and authentic way by providing real-life guidance and direction for individuals to assess and redirect their relationships and goals. For 20 years, I have had a private clinical practice. My post-graduate education has focused on marriage, post-traumatic stress, gender identification, abandonment, trauma, adult-children of alcoholics, women's issues, divorce adjustment, grief and phobias.
I have worked in conjunction with local schools, hospitals and psychiatrists, as well as organizations following the World Trade Center tragedy in the capacity of Critical Incident Stress Debriefing. My post-graduate education has been in the arena of abuse, sexual and verbal, eating disorders, couples counseling, and anxiety.
Master's Degree in Social Work from Adelphi. Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from St. John's (minor in International Studies through Budapest Technical University in Hungary). Recognized by Queens Borough Council for outstanding service as a community social worker. Member of National Association of Social Workers, American Counseling Association.
