Connection and acceptance allow us to move through life with hope, dignity, and the ability to embrace our authentic selves. I use a range of therapeutic techniques that are responsive to client needs, but my core therapeutic approach is rooted in humanistic practice. Humanistic psychology views people as innately good, unique, and capable of growth. We can work towards healing, change and growth while acknowledging the strengths you already have. While I treat diverse clients with a wide range of reasons for seeking therapy, I specialize in trauma treatment.
Through using mindfulness and somatic based practices, I work to help clients regulate biological responses to trauma. I also provide affirming and empathetic skills building therapy for folx with ADHD and ASD. I offer gender affirming care letter writing as well, and do so with as little gatekeeping as possible.
My values are rooted in social justice. This is embodied in the therapy space in my practice. I realize I may not be the therapist for everyone, but I am happy to provide referrals/resources to all.
