I am an African American Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a decade of experience in the field of mental health. As someone who balances the roles of career woman, wife, and mother, I share the lived experiences of many of my clients. With a strong Spiritual foundation, I believe in my calling to uplift and support individuals through seasons of transition. With Solution Focused Therapy, my practice focuses on helping those experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and relationship issues, as well individuals struggling to balance multiple responsibilities.
While the “Strong Black Woman” archetype acknowledges the admirable qualities of resilience and strength, it’s important to recognize and address its potential to impose unrealistic expectations and contribute to the invisibility of African American women’s full emotional lives. I create safe spaces for women of color to express themselves freely.
