About
Monica is often described as very “real” and genuine as she uses candor & humor to help clients feel comfortable and engage in the therapeutic process. Using a direct yet compassionate approach, she empowers others to identify their strengths, needs, and goals to improve their quality of life. Monica has over 15 years of experience providing mental health services for individuals, groups, and families in a variety of settings. She works with clients coping with life transitions, relationship concerns, traumatic events, as well as mood and anxiety disorders including Depression, Bipolar, PTSD and Personality Disorders.
Monica specializes in counseling and advocacy services for those who have experienced interpersonal trauma including domestic violence and sexual assault. She has received clinical training in TF-CBT, CPT, DBT, and MI.
Monica embraces diversity in her practice and works with people of various ages, races, ethnicities, genders & sexual orientations who are seeking services. She meets with adults, adolescents & families, and most frequently sees millennials. Monica works part-time during weekdays and has some evening availability to help accommodate clients' schedules.
