I have spent most of my career working with children, adolescents, and young adults. My style can be molded to fit most populations and leans toward motivating client's build self-esteem and skills in order to work themselves out of the job. I am open to all populations, from 5 years old to 95 years old, and able to support clients in managing symptoms of distress.
Modalities I utilize the most are; CBT, DBT, Client-Centered, Gestalt (helping clients understand different perspectives and how events, actions, and interactions are perceived and felt), Bowen (reducing anxiety, increasing family differentiation and the roles of each person in the family unit) just to name a few.
My approach to therapy is based on the needs of the client, I meet them where they are and we work together to build skills, understanding, and processing to achieve their desired outcome. I want the client to be able to get their needs met without experiencing self-doubt or guilt. I want them to feel confident within themselves.
