Monica Perez is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, and I have been practicing in the field for over 5 years. A major focus in my work has been anxiety and depression management, PTSD helping clients develop healthy coping skills, reduce stress, irritability and prevent burnout, self-esteem, process traumatic experiences, and much more. I was influenced by my own experiences in therapy to start the journey as a counselor and have worked to dispel the stigma and negative perceptions held within culturally diverse communities.
I've worked in various mental health settings such as private practice, non-profit, and crisis unit. Those experiences have the equipment to be able to work with clients with different conditions, such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, personality disorders, Bipolar, Schizophrenia, and many others.
I strive to meet clients where they are at. I believe in showing empathy and understanding of everyone's situation. Building rapport with clients is extremely important to me in order to create a safe environment for clients to be able to reflect and motivate themself in finding the "answers" they are looking for.
