I often treat patients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief & loss, as well as many life stressors. I began my clinical work providing play therapy to children with medical difficulties and traumas. I worked with children, parents and their siblings to help adjust to new diagnoses. Today, I work with children, adolescents & adults with symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, grief & loss, medical challenges and traumas and people having difficulty coping with life’s stressors. My primary goals are to help clients adjust more effectively to the present, and grow into more satisfying & successful futures.
I use Play Therapy as a way to help younger children use toys as words to express and process their concerns and frustrations. With others I use process-oriented talk therapy that builds self-understanding and better coping skills. I’m basic trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and use this with many clients to address different needs.
I am down-to-earth & practical while working with individuals. I hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Augsburg University. I was trained in Experiential Play Therapy in 2012, became a LICSW in 2013, trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) in 2022 and certified in Basic ART in 2024. I enjoy using different models to achieve individual goals.
