I believe that individuals who have the insight to be able to say "I want something to be different in my life and I am willing to make changes to get there" are capable and wise humans. Needing to navigate feelings, ride the waves of emotion created by living and learning how our brains can hijack us are not character flaws. No one is born knowing how to regulate their neurological system! My role is to help you identify what isn't working, define what you would like your life to look like, then offer tools and support for your journey.
My specialty is teaching individuals and couples how to navigate the triggers that interfere with living life fully. Modulated breathing, the Emotional Freedom Technique, journaling, EMDR, communication skills and boundary development are a few skills that I offer and teach in order for individuals to reclaim their power over their neurological system.
By being focused in the present with the goal of reducing symptoms, clients see consistent progress which feels hopeful. I do not accept insurance, instead choosing to work on a sliding scale fee. This guarantees privacy, allowing treatment to be based solely on the needs of client without imposed restrictions.
