Emotional struggles exist for all people, it matters whether we pay attention to them or not. It is a choice to come to therapy. It's an investment of your time, effort and mental well-being. The beauty of therapy is learning we are not alone and understanding and empathy are there for us to access as we live our daily lives. When thinking, decisions, actions and feels create a feeling of being "stuck" or confused, therapy can be one of your options. Feelings are always there. They exist whether we like it or not. Discovering how these feelings play out in our lives, can bring us to a new level of productive awareness.
My style of therapy flows from the presentation you give me when we begin to develop rapport. I am a good listener that is strongly aware of trauma issues and can assist in discovering the interplay between trauma and how it affects our productivity in life. Client centered services are one of my specialties. Dignity and respect build a good rapport.
My years of experience in the social work field have allowed me to be open, receptive and welcoming to all people. Working with people starting at age 4 that present with many differing circumstances allows me to assist people in discovering for themselves how to resolve their concerns. You are the expert on YOU.
