Monica L Mouer's Groups

Women's Emotional Healing Group (abuse recovery)

The curriculum used for this group is Pia Mellody's Facing Codependency as well as the accompanying workbook, Breaking Free. We utilize a neurotheology approach The Life Model to build joyful and life giving connection with one another and reflect healthy and accurate identity to each member. Personal life experiences are shared intermittently as group members feel strong enough to lean on one another for support which moves them into deeper freedom and recovery. Most group members suffer from childhood abuse, neglect or other issues causing codependency and have strong motivated to become more emotionally healthy and strong.

Women's Life Model Identity Group

The curriculum used for this group is Transforming Fellowship which focuses on relational brain skills building. The concept is that we work on the following together: Five to Thrive: 1. A place to belong 2. To both receive and give life 3. The capacity to recover from malfunctions 4. Maturation 5. To stay true to their identities. As we focus on these things, the idea is to take the skills we learn together into our families and communities outside of the group strengthening the society with higher level relational skills and ability to transmit joy and connection naturally and effortlessly.

Licensed Professional Counselor

Monica is the clinical director at my private practice. She is quite the renaissance woman in her ability to be an effective supervisor, competent counselor, proficient entrepreneur, dedicated colleague, and kind friend. I have known Monica for only two years, but feel I have gained many more years of insight under her guidance. With her clients, Monica is both compassionate and wise; she connects so well with everyone. I have seen this firsthand. I would refer any potential client to Monica, but especially in the areas of anxiety/depression, trauma recovery, sexual addiction, and women's issues, because of Monica's great care.
