As a previously practicing educational psychologist in an alternative school setting, I often encountered students who moved through the public school systems without the support they needed to learn basic foundational skills. Creating a lack of understanding of how they learn; causing low self-esteem and low academic and social functioning. Additionally, these academic difficulties often bring about behavior challenges in school and in the home setting, as students feel incapable of learning to their full potential. These students often require assessment to further determine appropriate intervention for academic success.
As a Licensed Educational Psychologist, I conduct Independent Educational Evaluations for youth and adults who may exhibit educational, social, and/or vocational challenges. Resulting from the assessment I am able to provide educational and vocational recommendations, as well as appropriate diagnosis to further support the client.
