Many individuals within this population suffer with mood disorders, behavioral issues, anxiety, school & sport performance stress, identity crisis, family conflict, and low self-esteem. As a child, teenager, or parent, managing all these life stressors can take a toll on our mental health. My hope as a therapist is to make clients feel safe to process these struggles, develop healthy coping mechanisms, and improve their social/ family connections around them.
I have experience working with children & student athletes in the school setting, sports settings, and private practice. I am certified in Child Centered Play Therapy for working with kids. With teen athletes, I use a humanistic approach along with tools in sports psychology and mindset skills. This makes me a sought after therapist in the South Bay.
As a former college and pro athlete, I understand the stress student-athletes and high-achieving youth face. I support athlete mental health in the South Bay through therapy, speaking engagements, podcast appearances, and team consulting.
