My Name is Monea Marsh and I am a License Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in Jacksonville, FL, working with clients statewide via Telehealth. I work with adolescents and adults to develop coping skills to manage anger, stress, depressive symptoms, anxiety, and trauma. My style and approach typically work best with adolescents, teens, and young adults as I help them navigate through life transitions, and social pressures and help obtain emotional stability. I work to help my clients navigate these transition periods and to build skills to allow them to feel better about themselves and develop a more positive outlook on life.
My approach to therapy varies based on the needs of the client. I most frequently use Cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and Trauma Focused Therapy. I help the client set realistic goals to obtain throughout our sessions.
My communication style is calm, accommodating, and personable. I want my clients to feel comfortable talking with me about anything, and I pride myself on my ability to listen without judgment. Creating a safe space for the client to express, process, and communicate is most important.
