I have specialty in treating anxiety and depression, and work to help my clients become free from the bondage of fear, worry, overthinking, inflexibility, and perfectionism. In a warm and safe environment, I also help couples that feel dissatisfied and disconnected to communicate and experience a revitalized relationship together, and to create vision for their best lives and their shared dreams. I enjoy teaching communication skills to ensure each are able to be present with each other, understand each other and resolve issues including sex, parenting, finances, family of origin, and trauma issues.
I believe therapy is a collaborative effort between you (the true expert of your life) and your therapist. I often use a Cognitive Behavioral approach, a Solution-Focused approach, Inner Healing, EMDR, DBT, Mindfulness, and other tools and modalities respective to the need.
I have 20 years of experience in psychotherapy. I've been an Adjunct Professor in Psychology, Founding Director of a Counseling Center, and helped to found the South Florida Association of Christian Counselors.
