Mona Lee Yousef, LCSW, CASAC, CADC, MAC, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in New York
I am a dedicated, perceptive and highly competent clinician with 26 years postgraduate experience. Certified in Psychoanalysis and Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, I also hold multiple certifications in addictions treatment and have taught as well as supervised in the areas of addiction, HIV/AIDS and personality disorders. I have worked intensively and extensively with those struggling with (and/or recovering from) all forms of addictive disorders: alcohol/drugs, sexual compulsivity, eating disorders, gambling. In addition, I am strongly experienced in and sensitive to issues of grief, trauma, identity, illness and sexuality and work well with those whose personality styles impede their attempts towards intimacy with others.
I treat an adult clientele of diverse racial/ethnic backgrounds and all sexual and gender identifications. I believe that each person's therapeutic journey is unique and am committed to fostering a safe and supportive connection between us where all thoughts, feelings, issues, desires, conflicts and dysfunctional patterns may be honestly, creatively and compassionately explored.
I work empathically and interactively with you to provide a Relational analytic experience which will effect profound growth and change in your relationships with yourself and with others. I respect the courage it takes to reveal and reflect on oneself in therapy and offer compassion, structure, humor and balance. 718 contact number; midtown Manhattan office.
