Summer is considered by many the most beautiful season here in Maine. At the same time, this time of year can intensify expectations that we be happy, active, and social. It's not unlike the pressure we sometimes feel around holidays or anniversaries. As lovely as it is, summer in Maine can also demand a lot of us. There might be less empathy available if you're experiencing this time differently for any reason. Feeling at odds with the prevailing energy can be lonely, but no one can live in Vacationland of the mind all the time.
If you're not feeling the season, maybe this is a time to turn your attention inward, to your own landscape: observing, reflecting, excavating, dreaming, healing. Exploring patterns, resolving mysteries, and imagining fresh life stories for yourself. If this sounds like a worthwhile project and maybe even an excellent adventure, I'd be happy to support you!
