Welcome. If you need to slow down and tune into yourself, you are in the right space. I work with a wide range of adults in to improve their coping skills, confidence, and joy by working with the mind-body connection. From your center, let's explore your challenges. In addition to general mental wellness my specialized areas are religious trauma, menopause, and ADHD. I am allied with and have close ties to the LGBTQ+ community and treat issues related to abuse, anxiety, career, identity, loneliness, organization, parenting, relationship agreements, recovery maintenance, sexuality, social media, and trauma.
I integrate evidence-based somatic (body-based), mindfulness, and creative techniques to therapy. I also like sessions to be slow and experiential. I am trained in DBT Skills (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (Level 1 completed, currently in Level 2 training), and a Brainspotting practioner (Level 1).
Your vulnerability and desire for change are sacred. Your needs and goals determine the counseling structure (open-ended or time-limited). I prefer in-person for clients in the Triangle (especially Durham-Chapel Hill) area, with telehealth as an option. I'm happy to have a brief phone or video call to meet and answer your questions.
