My style is collaborative, warm, authentic, and active. I work with adults of all ages who are struggling with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and the continued impact of recent or developmental trauma.
I have a psychodynamic, relational approach that is informed by attachment theory. I am particularly interested in exploring how we relate to the people in our lives and how relational issues impact our emotions. I am invested in examining issues of identity, including the ways in which race, gender, sexuality, class, and ability impact each of our lives.
Our experiences within our relationships provide the foundation for our beliefs about ourselves and about the world. Feeling seen and fully understood within a therapeutic relationship can provide a healing, corrective experience.
