I am a licensed psychologist and help individuals overcome problems related to bipolar disorder, depression, emotion dysregulation, anxiety, stress management, and relationship difficulties. I completed postdoctoral training at Stanford University focused on evidence-based approaches to therapy that are supported by research. I utilize these approaches in my work, incorporating techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and motivational interviewing (MI) depending on client need.
My style has been described as genuine, warm, and unassuming. I collaborate with clients to establish clear therapy goals as I believe this is crucial for success. My work is typically present-focused, helping clients overcome problems in their daily lives. I am currently meeting with clients over HIPAA-compliant video conference.
In addition to my private practice, I work part-time at The Camden Center (camdencenter.com), an intensive outpatient program (IOP) in San Francisco. I also participate in two consultation teams with other psychologists in private practice to further my skills and expertise. For more information, please visit my website www.drmollywalsh.com.
