As an occupational therapist, I am specially qualified to help clients with mental health challenges and neurodivergence live their lives to the fullest. From the beginning of treatment, we will work together to formulate goals that are meaningful to you and to select personalized strategies backed by evidence to work towards those goals. I am passionate about clients rediscovering their strengths and learning new ones. While the process of growth and change can be painful and take a lot of work, my clients find hope and renewal in the journey.
Occupational therapists study in a medical setting, so have exposure to neurobiology that is vital to understanding and treating neurodivergence (ADHD and autism spectrum disorders) and sensory processing differences. Our work will be action and experienced based in addition to addressing thoughts and emotions.
Finding a mental health professional that meets your needs is a challenge. I know this from working in the mental health field for 12+ years, and from having been a client of mental health services myself. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions. I look forward to talking with you.
