Announcement icon I am offering short-term affordable mental health management packages throughout this crisis. Please visit my website for more details.
"I struggle in relationships..." "I don't know/trust myself and my thoughts and emotions..." "I feel on edge..." "I feel numb..." "I don't why I feel bad, I just do..." "I don't know how to talk about it..." These are some common statements that I hear from clients that are just beginning therapy with me. These expressions are all symptoms of trauma. I am a trauma-specializing clinician who has worked with many people who have suffered from single-incident trauma and chronic trauma. Some examples include; assault, abuse, bullying, and tumultuous upbringings.
The pause of the Covid-19 crisis has allowed some of the typical day-to-day struggles to fade away. However, many people are noticing an increase in anger, fear, sadness, shame, and guilt. Many are being flooded with difficult memories. My goal is to use my speciality of EMDR and other trauma treatments to work with you to process these unhealed traumas.
In addition to specializing EMDR and trauma treatment, I offer short-term counseling for this time of global crisis. Please visit my website for more details. No matter what type of support you need, my goal is to create a safe and trusting relationship where peace and contentment can prosper.

Holistic Healing: An Intro to EMDR (1/22/20)

This group workshop is designed to introduce you to the world of Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. The first half of this course will give you a basic introduction to EMDR. It will explain how its holistic focus on mind, body, and spirit facilitates more thorough healing than traditional talk therapy. The second half will give students a chance to experience some of the paradigm-shifting techniques typically used in EMDR. Students will learn ways of self-soothing and to call upon inner strengths. Students will begin to learn how to approach themselves with less shame and judgment and more compassion and curiosity.
