I enjoy working with children, teenagers, families and adults and have been providing individual and family counseling for 22 years. I am a Registered Play Therapist, National Board Certified Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor and I have received extensive training in Filial Play Therapy, Parenting Education, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Post-Adoption Issues.

Hello, I am Jim Bennett ,Counselor. I have compassionately worked with families, couples, individuals, teens and groups for over 29 years. I have worked with these clients in a private practice setting and in an addictions treatment center setting. I have accomplished Masters Degrees in both Counseling and Clinical Psychology. I studied both disciplines to equip myself for assessment as well as treatment . I became a counselor to help teens navigate their way into adulthood. I quickly found that the family is where it all starts. Therefore, I focused on family/marriage counseling. From there I branched into addiction counseling.

Throughout life, we experience a variety of highs and lows. Some of our lows can be much more challenging to handle than others. It is my belief that counseling is a process of self-discovery. Through the counseling process you are able to uncover tools to help you become better equipped to handle the unexpected lows that may occur throughout life. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who has worked with children and families for 15 years in the community mental health setting. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Coastal Carolina University in 2004 and earned my Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Webster University in 2007. I opened H.O.P.E.
