Moira Magid, LPC, LMHC Moira Magid is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New Jersey who has been practicing since 2019. Moira has been working with adolescents, adults, and their families in a private school for Twice Exceptional students in New York City for the past 8 years. Moira began her work as a Psychosocial Teacher, spending time in the classroom with the students building deeper connections, helping students with crisis management, emotional regulation, behavior management and executive functioning skills.
She then became a full-time counselor, overseeing a caseload of up to 10 students while simultaneously supervising clinical interns as they began their training to become full-time counselors. Lastly, Moira transitioned to the Leadership team as the Associate Clinical Director and Chief of Psychosocial Learning.
While in this role, Moira oversaw the integration of psychosocial and executive functioning concepts into the classroom, supervised the psychosocial teachers and clinicians, while still managing a counseling caseload of her own. Moira has developed creative approaches to therapy to ensure it feels personalized and authentic for the client.
