My clients say that I am an inspiring psychotherapist who has dedicated his life to making a positive impact on the society and people around him. I have a master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from Syracuse University and hold a bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies from Al-Azhar University. I lectured around the globe. As a spiritual leader, I have been guiding and counseling many people in CNY area, one of the most diverse communities in the USA. Throughout my journey, I utilized my religious scholarship, different therapeutic approaches, and life experiences in facilitating mental, psychological, and spiritual healing.
I take a collaborative approach for psychotherapy and believe that exploring one’s life stressors within a non-judgmental and compassionate space can help individuals tap into their internal resiliency. I utilize different types of therapy, including, CBT, EFT, ERP. Additionally, I always thinks ‘systems’, even when I am attending to an individual.
People’s challenges can be due to institutional and systematic factors; in congruence with my holistic approach, I am actively engaged in the community to promote the welfare of the society. In recognition to my advocacy, I was awarded with the Interfaith Leadership Award, 2021. Finally, regaining and maintaining equilibrium is my ultimate goal of therapy.
