At Modern Therapy Alliance, we offer compassionate, direct, and personalized mental health care for teens, adults, couples, and families. We work with people who are ready for real conversations about what’s holding them back or making them unhappy. If you’re looking for a therapist who will be engaged, honest, direct, and genuinely helpful, you’re in the right place. We blend multiple insight-oriented approaches with direct feedback to help you better understand yourself, work through challenges, and create meaningful, lasting change.

After 25 years in the corporate world, choosing to become a therapist has been one of the most meaningful shifts in my life. I approach this work the same way I try to show up everywhere else: direct, steady, genuine, and willing to sit in the real parts of people’s lives. Opening up about what’s bothering you can feel awkward, especially when it involves the things you believe you should already know how to handle. I’ll be honest about what can change and what may need some reframing. We will work through that together. My experience as a father, partner, colleague, and person shapes the way I help clients navigate their own lives.

I work with young professionals and other adults navigating anxiety, ADHD, self-doubt, work stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, social anxiety, and the feeling that life looks fine on the surface but something underneath is not working. I also connect with people adjusting to Chicago, former athletes navigating identity after sports, and people living with chronic illness or another medical diagnosis. Therapy with me is honest, collaborative, and active. I help clients understand patterns, work through what is keeping them stuck, strengthen self-understanding, and move toward a life that fits them better.

I work with adults and adolescents who feel stuck in patterns they can’t seem to change, like overthinking, reacting too quickly, or feeling overtaken by emotion. Many have tried therapy before and left feeling understood but not helped; that was my experience once, too. I focus on awareness, accountability, and action so you can make sense of what’s happening, not just talk about it. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, life transitions, or questions around neurodiversity, we’ll identify what’s keeping you stuck and build practical tools you can use in real time to feel more grounded, capable, and in control.
