I use an EFT, Gottman, and somatic approach.
Relationships are hard! Is your family stuck in a rhythm of conflict that leaves you feeling misunderstood, underappreciated and alone? The disagreements are numerous and we rarely seem to find a resolution. Each argument chips away at the bond that used to be sturdy and resilient. Chronic conflict leads to ambivalence and resentment in the relationship, and eventually is destructive. That’s where I come in! I specialize in working with exhausted and burned out couples, family members, and parents stuck in the cycle of conflict, self-doubt, and disconnection.

We are wired to repeat deeply learned patterns that, at a certain point, no longer serve us. Whether it’s in your personal relationships, or your relationship with yourself, at times you may find yourself feeling stuck in a repetitive loop, with outcomes that feel undesirable or out of your control. Together we can identify and explore these patterns in order to define your goals and work toward meaningful growth.

We all struggle sometimes, but ongoing issues can leave us exhausted, isolated, confused, discouraged... If your days or nights are hard to get through, if you can't seem to settle down or stop overthinking, if life feels scary or you don't know what to do, if you never feel good enough or can't seem to 'get over' or 'stop doing' x, I'd love to talk with you. My experience is broad, but my practice is largely focused on anxiety & stress disorders, relational trauma, chronic & terminal illnesses, and healthy coping/decision making during life transitions.

Have you been feeling like something has got to give? Your mind won't stop spinning about things to fear or about past events. Have you been feeling like OCD or anxiety has a grip on you instead of you managing it? I specialize in working with those living with OCD, anxiety, and survivors of trauma. It can be scary and overwhelming to feel like the past won't stay in the past. It can also be overwhelming to feel ruled by intrusive thoughts, but you don't have to face it alone. I'm also passionate about working with those who have chronic illnesses, panic attacks, and who feel controlled by their people pleasing tendencies.

I utilize Brainspotting, somatic and narrative tools, and also integrate the latest research in attachment, neurobiology and trauma.
Whatever struggle is motivating you to start counseling, something inside is knocking. The knock may be feeling depressed, anxious, angry, or overwhelmed. It may be feeling disconnected in relationships and from what is meaningful in your life, a sense of emptiness or lack of purpose. To answer that knock means to turn inward, which can be challenging and uncomfortable at times, yet I whole-heartedly believe the life you seek is patiently waiting! The pain you are experiencing is actually an invitation for healing and growth. Answer the knock. When things break down, breakthroughs happen.

You don't have to be perfect. Do you find yourself constantly striving for validation and acceptance? Are your days consumed by endless to-do lists, relentless self-criticism, and the paralyzing fear of being judged? Perfectionism & people pleasing isn't about doing your best—it's a crushing cycle of never feeling good enough. Your inner critic is always watching, always judging, never satisfied. The result? Chronic stress, anxiety, and a profound sense of exhaustion that leaves you feeling trapped and depleted. I get it, I've been there, and there is a way out.

You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or just plain exhausted—mentally, emotionally, or physically. Maybe you're navigating anxiety or depression that just won’t let up, working through the weight of past trauma, or finding it hard to adjust to a life change you didn’t see coming. You might be realizing that your boundaries aren't being respected or maybe you're not even sure what healthy boundaries look like. Whatever brought you here, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself.

Somatic Therapists
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.

Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.

Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.

What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
