You might look like you have it together. And in a lot of ways, you do. But there's something underneath that doesn't quite match — a low hum of anxiety, a pattern in your relationships you can't seem to break. You keep up with things. You manage. But something feels off, and it's been there longer than you'd like to admit. A lot of people get good at pushing through. It works, until it doesn't — until the cost shows up in your closest relationships, or in the quiet moments when you're left alone with yourself. Therapy is a place to slow down and look at what's actually happening beneath the surface.

I believe meaningful therapy begins with a strong, trusting connection. I work with adults who may be struggling with anxiety, trauma, depression, relationship issues, stress, low self-esteem, or major life transitions. Many clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves and others, especially when past experiences continue to shape the present. I offer a grounded, compassionate space where we can make sense of what you’ve been carrying, explore new possibilities, and work toward lasting change by exploring trauma, attachment wounds, and your nervous system.

Non-religious.
Being a person is hard af. That's the first thing to acknowledge when you consider reaching out for support; I promise you: everyone is struggling in some way or another, despite what their social media might suggest. Sorting through your shit and figuring out what to toss and what to keep is a journey, and you may need different things at different times. If you're at point where what you need is less "and how does that make you feel" and more "wow that sucks have you tried this other thing" - I might just be the right fit for you. I like people who want to really dig in and see what's underneath the layers you may be avoiding.

You might be doing your best, and still feeling overwhelmed, stuck in familiar patterns, or unsure how to make sense of your emotions or relationships. Maybe anxiety feels louder than it used to. Maybe you’re navigating identity shifts, attachment wounds, or big feelings that keep showing up in the present. You don’t have to sort through it all alone.

You spent your life being the responsible one, the dependable kid, the overachiever, the emotional caretaker. You learned early how to perform under pressure, and it worked… until it didn’t. Now you’re a capable adult running on shallow sleep, a clenched jaw, tension headaches, and constant irritability. You hold it together all day, then unravel at night. You’ve read the books (and listened to the podcasts) and understand the frameworks, but insight hasn’t changed how your body lives. You’re here because you want focused, effective work, not endless processing.

I am currently accepting NEW clients! A lot of times guilt and shame get in the way of real human progress leading us stuck in a paradox of emotions we don't know how to deal with. Sometimes we experience these emotions at a heightened value where you feel out of control. Other times we push them down so severely that we forget what it's like to feel emotional at all. Whatever is troubling you, those emotions are valid and there is a healthy and sustainable way to honor each and every one of them. I believe there is something courageous in knowing when you need help and taking the steps to receive it.

Something bad happened. An event or series of events has become a point in time where your life changed, and not for the better. You feel stuck in your trauma without any way out. Your nervous system has hijacked your happiness. Too often you feel anxious, angry or afraid. You may interact with the world, but sometimes it feels like you are just going through the motions. Or you might not be interacting with the world at all. You're completely shut down. You long to feel what other people must certainly feel: happiness, love, joy, and contentment. You survived and that's great! but you want more than that. You want to truly live!

Hey! I’m Levi. I invite you to take a moment in your search to exhale with me. I appreciate you finding your way to me today. What’s more, I appreciate the world you exist in right now. No matter your stage of life, or which part(s) of your internal and external worlds you want to discuss, I will arrive in gentle kindness to strategize with you toward digestible approaches to life problems. You need not have “one big issue” that brings you to our space. In the words of my favorite band, Yo La Tengo: “Let’s be undecided, let’s take our time; and sooner or later, we will know our mind.”

Sometimes, you just need someone to talk to. Not your mom, not your hairstylist, and even your friends might not want to be your therapist. I have the degree, license, and training to be a therapist, sure, but where I excel is in forming a relationship with YOU so I'm someone you look forward to chatting with on a regular basis. I am not a fan of anything stuffy or inauthentic, and connecting with clients and seeing real, positive change is my favorite part of the job. So whether it's anxiety, depression, or issues surrounding life changes like career decisions or having kids (or so many more things!), I'm your girl. Let's connect!

You may find yourself asking, "Why does this keep happening?" Despite insight, effort, or years of coping, the same relational struggles return. Much of our pain takes shape in relationships, where old wounds linger beneath the surface and shape how you see yourself and how you connect with others. Lasting change is rarely just about understanding what’s wrong. It tends to emerge through relationship itself: by slowing down, noticing what comes alive between us, and exploring these patterns in a space where they can be felt, understood, and experienced differently.

I believe genuine connection is how we all change, grow, and flourish. Yet, we live in a society that often drives us towards separation. I work with you to explore how your social, economic, and cultural context impacts your mental health. Isolation, systematic oppression, and trauma often lead to feelings of depression, anxiety, dysphoria, existential dread, and powerlessness. If you can relate to this experience, we may be a good fit. Clients of marginalized and intersectional identities may find this type of work particularly helpful.

Anxiety and past trauma have kept you playing small, but in your heart you know that life can be so much bigger. You’re ready to wrestle with anxiety, shine a light on hurts and hardships of the past, and begin living life on your own terms. It feels like you’ve been waiting forever, unsure if the timing is right, but now you realize that “ready” might never happen, and you’re willing to try anyway. You're dreaming of a life where you stop second guessing yourself, where you feel connected and have a deep sense of belonging, and where you're no longer paralyzed by worries. You're ready to get back in the driver's seat of life.

Secular and Non-Religious Therapists
What is a secular and non religious approach in therapy?
Secular or non-religious therapy is a theoretical orientation used by many therapists and describes a therapeutic approach that does not rely on any specific religious or faith-based beliefs in the therapeutic process. Secular counselors will often approach therapy with an emphasis on evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients, instead of relying on religious practices, such as prayer or belief in God.

Is secular therapy primarily for non-religious people?
Both religious and non-religious individuals can benefit from secular therapy. People exploring their religious or spiritual beliefs may find it especially useful to work with a secular therapist who is unbiased toward any specific religion. While religious individuals might value the connection and familiarity of seeing a counselor who shares their beliefs, secular counseling can offer them the chance to develop coping skills independent of their religious practice, which can be beneficial in various aspects of their lives.

Can a secular approach to therapy help with religious trauma?
One major reason clients may seek a secular therapist is to process previous religious experiences, including religious trauma. Secular therapists can help clients manage symptoms of the trauma through practices such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). They can also encourage clients through talk therapy or psychodynamic approaches to explore the roots of their religious trauma. Since secular therapists do not have any predetermined religious beliefs, they can be particularly helpful for clients looking to explore their own religious beliefs following a history of religious trauma.

What does non religious marriage and premarital counseling involve?
Marriage and premarital counseling typically involves a couple meeting with a therapist to discuss topics such as planning for marriage, navigating a new marriage, addressing relationship challenges, and developing better communication and conflict resolution skills. Non-religious therapists assist couples in achieving these goals without adhering to specific religious beliefs or frameworks, often emphasizing inclusivity and non-judgment, especially for "nontraditional" couples. However, seeking couples therapy from a non-religious counselor does not mean religious topics are off-limits. In fact, non-religious couples from different religious backgrounds may benefit from a secular therapist who remains neutral toward the beliefs of each partner.
