Meeting someone new and sharing the parts of your life that feel heavy is not always easy. It can make you feel vulnerable, awkward, or even a bit scared. My hope is that those feelings will fade quickly. Therapy is much more than the TV image of someone lying on a couch for an hour. In fact, I only have two chairs in my office, so there’s no couch here. Therapy is about having a space where you can be yourself without worrying about judgment or needing to say the 'right' thing. My goal is to create a space where we work together and you feel supported and heard.

People have been telling you to "talk to someone" for a while. Even if you knew who to talk to you, you don't know what to say. Everybody seems to have an opinion about you, but nobody asks what you think. That trauma you don't want to talk about keeps you up at night. You're using substances and nobody knows. The littlest things seem to set you off and you end up saying or doing things you wish later you hadn't. Being a teenager is hard. Being a parent is much harder than you thought it would be. Your relationships seem to be on the brink. You feel alone and nobody really knows you. Something's got to change. But how?

If you are reading this, then chances are you or someone you love is in need of professional counseling. I understand this can be a difficult process and cause significant anxiety. But you are just a simple phone call away. So whether you are struggling with depression or anxiety disorder, marital problems, spiritual abuse or issues of faith, trauma from childhood abuse, or some form of addiction, you have turned to the right place. Together, as a relationship of trust begins, we will identify what you hope counseling will provide and a plan to address that hope.

Sometimes, you just need someone to talk to. Not your mom, not your hairstylist, and even your friends might not want to be your therapist. I have the degree, license, and training to be a therapist, sure, but where I excel is in forming a relationship with YOU so I'm someone you look forward to chatting with on a regular basis. I am not a fan of anything stuffy or inauthentic, and connecting with clients and seeing real, positive change is my favorite part of the job. So whether it's anxiety, depression, or issues surrounding life changes like career decisions or having kids (or so many more things!), I'm your girl. Let's connect!

Waitlist for new clients
Disclaimer: I am currently booked for new clients through the month of August. First available appts are in September 2026. Hi there! Starting therapy can feel like a big step, AND it's one of the most meaningful investments you make in yourself. I see therapy as a place where you can slow down, sort through what’s been heavy or confusing, and begin making sense of your experiences. Together, we can explore patterns, build practical skills, and create space for growth, healing, and change.

Hi, im Emilie! I’m so glad you found your way to my therapy room. Let me share some of my core values: the therapeutic relationship, authenticity, listening and adaptability. Each relationship is valued and built off of trust, safety, fun and unconditional acceptance. I show up as my authentic self and fine value in relatability and connection. Each client’s story is valued and heard with safety and without judgement. Sessions don’t have to be limited to talking and processing but also can be about humor, games, art and silence. I look forward to being apart of your journey!

Ugh typing a profile is so boring and every bio ends up sounding the same. I will attempt not to put you to sleep while browsing this site. Life can feel like too much: too many demands, too many pressures, too little space to be genuine. Whether you are navigating anxiety, trauma, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, unhealthy relationships, or a nagging sense that something needs to shift, I am here to help you find the best version of yourself. I bring warmth, humor, and a genuine belief that therapy works best when it feels human and collaborative.

If you’ve landed here, I imagine you might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or weighed down by anxiety, self-doubt, or past experiences. Maybe you feel like you should have it all figured out - but life feels heavy, and you're exhausted trying to carry it alone. I believe healing happens when we feel seen and understood. You deserve support that feels safe, compassionate, and genuinely human. I often help clients who struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, identity questions, grief, or trauma. I integrate somatic practices, parts work, and mindfulness to help create lasting change — not just coping, but deeper healing.

You may be here because life feels harder than it should. Perhaps you spend a lot of energy hiding parts of yourself and trying to keep up appearances while feeling disconnected or exhausted inside. You might feel weighed down by old wounds, complicated relationships, or patterns you cannot seem to change. You may long for relief, clarity, and a stronger sense of self but feel unsure how to get there. Whatever brings you here, you do not have to navigate it alone.

The moment one decides to seek therapy is a significant and valuable one, often born of a genuine desire for healing or meaningful change. Coming to therapy takes courage and can help us find new meaning in old stories, make choices with integrity and purpose, and live with greater self-compassion and compassion for others.

Currently, I mostly work with complex trauma and LGBTQIA+ folks, using Internal Family Systems. During my career, I worked with both individual and group settings, including adults with people living with HIV, veterans, incarcerated people and transgender/gender variant individuals. These populations included people with depression, bi-polar disorder, personality disorders, anxiety, PTSD and depression. As a proud bisexual, trans man, I love to work with my LGBT communities. I celebrate my kinky and polyamorous communities. I strive to be an imperfect ally to non-binary trans people and people of color.

If you are a parent, you may know what it’s like to feel like you have to take care of everyone else while barely holding it together. You might be exhausted, overwhelmed, angry, or constantly overthinking. On the outside things look fine, but anxiety and self-doubt are looming inside. Transitions, such as becoming an adult or becoming a parent, can be welcome changes but also hard to manage. I specialize in working with clients navigating many different changes in life and I have extensive training in perinatal mental health and trauma. I am here to help you find ways to feel better.
