The fee listed is for a 90-minute session, for individuals or couples.
If you are interested in deepening and expanding your awareness and understanding of yourself, as a means of finding a more confident pathway to your most authentic life, you're in the right place. I have a special interest and knack for working high achieving, over-performing, people pleasers (who are secretly exhausted by it all). My approach will be tailored just for you, utilizing a blend of holistic, integrative, trauma-informed approaches including Internal Family Systems (or "parts work"), and Somatic Experiencing. You are more than your brain, and you are unique; our work will be, too.

My focus is on relationships: the relationships we hold with others and how we construct and maintain relationship with ourselves.
In my therapeutic space, I encourage you to come as you are. My intention is to create a comfortable place to explore the story of your life, surrounded by beautiful plant life and lava lamps…and if we're lucky we might get to use my oversized whiteboard.

I relish the privilege to work with adults, children, families, and couples who hope to repair, renew, or recreate meaningful connections while eliminating any lasting resentment or mistrust.
Current availabilities at 6pm Tuesday and Thursday! I'm here to acknowledge your internal experience and to help determine if any external forces are preventing you from finding peace of mind. Sometimes personal challenges feel unapproachable, and if left unmanaged, these struggles may breed negative outlooks which cultivate the loss of connection and purpose. Without connection, what happens to your authentic voice? Without purpose, how often does anxiety and/or depression hijack your thinking? My style is tailored for people needing relational reconnection, personal restoration, or insights leading to peace of mind.

It's plain to see that world bombards us with ample reason to live in fear, doubt, and negativity. Yet, we all possess the ability to change, and to make good on the hope toward a rich, full, and confident life. We can't erase our pasts, but we can work together in the present to find new ways of thinking and being that produce the lives we want.

Life events, work, and relationships can often be experienced as part of a repetitive pattern.
Psychotherapy aims to facilitate reflection, self-awareness, and vitality. By entering into the treatment relationship, an individual can begin a process of growth and repair. The work that follows takes place in a unique and empathic collaboration that supports improved recognition and regulation of feelings as well as increased agency within one's life.

Partner 1: "I reach for you, but it feels like you’re already gone.
After nine years serving in the U.S. Coast Guard, I realized my deepest fulfillment came not from fixing electronics, but from walking with people. Leaving the military was not a departure from service—it was a continuation of it. I pursued social work and theological training to better support people in their most important relationships.

Couples Counseling Therapists
Does couples counseling work?
Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.

When should a couple seek counseling?
Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.

How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?
The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.

How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?
The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
