Louis for your kiddo, or an adult wondering if those "quirks" might actually be ADHD.
I'm all about creating a comfy space where we can ditch the stuffy therapist vibes and have real conversations. We'll explore what makes you tick, tackle those "why does my brain do this?!" moments, and find strategies that actually work for you. Think comfy chairs, fidgets galore, and a therapist who's not afraid to laugh with you.

We all want to reach the highest levels of self actualization, but if your anxiety, depression, or ADHD are making it hard to complete daily living tasks that may feel out of reach.
I will use a mixture of systems theory, IFS, narrative therapy and ACT; but most importantly the work we do is collaborative with you leading the way. Many of my clients suffer from anxiety, ADHD, OCD, and relationship issues. My goal is to help you find acceptance in these issues and discover realistic supports to reaching your desires.

The majority of my clients are learning to live and thrive with anxiety and ADHD.
I primarily use play therapy to aid in reaching the goals of my clients. I am very person-centered and truly believe that the trust and rapport I have with my client will be the foundation to growth. Going at the client's pace, I do various activities to address more specific topics but am also down for talk therapy should that be the client's preference.

I'm blind, and I was diagnosed with ADHD during grad school.
When you’re neurodivergent, queer, or disabled, it can feel like you’re constantly trying to meet unreachable standards. Shame, doubt, and overwhelm can make you feel like you’re falling short no matter how hard you try. You’re not failing, though. The problem is the world’s one-size-fits-none expectations, (plus the fact that our country is currently a dumpsterfire). But together we can create new expectations and redefine what success means for you. We’ll embrace every part of you, especially the parts you’ve been told don’t belong.

Licensed in Missouri and Illinois, I work with individuals and couples, treating those who are experiencing relational issues, depression/anxiety, ADHD, mild autism and life stressors.
Hi! I'm Ann. I enjoy working with people who are open-minded, inquisitive and who like to challenge norms. Part of the therapeutic process is about confronting the parts of ourselves that we tend to hide and feel a bit less comfortable with. I'd like to help you get to know your whole self and walk beside you as you question some of the beliefs you've held, which may be in conflict with who you are now. Like you, I've been there and asked myself. "What do I want?" "Who am I?" and "What feels motivating and pleasurable in my life?" It's tough to feel ‘stuck’ and also, it's the start of something brand new.

ADHD Therapists
When should I seek treatment for ADHD?
You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.
How does treatment for ADHD work?
Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.
Are there specific medications for ADHD?
Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.
How long does treatment for ADHD take?
It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
