Maybe you feel hopeless, mentally exhausted, stuck in a relationship, or overwhelmed with ongoing intrusive thoughts. Perhaps you are not satisfied with your overall quality of life, or you are unsure of how to move forward. Whatever brought you here is valid, and I believe that you are ready to work on it.

Dedicated to my clients' happiness and success, I feel honored to be trusted with their innermost thoughts. They often report feeling completely overwhelmed and stressed by life situations: e.g. relationship conflict, conflict at work, loss of a loved one. Feeling that life is controlling them, they report feeling depressed, anxious, and doubting their own ability. Through our work together in therapy, my clients have felt empowered to regain the control necessary to make positive changes in their lives and relationships, and thereby resolve their conflicts, reduce their level of stress, and relieve their accompanying anxiety and depression.

Living in a world of conformity and structure can make navigating our authentic selves challenging. Our language can impact how we see ourselves and the world around us. I have a unique understanding of how less visible parts of our identity can impact our experience. Understanding and exploring our sexual identity and experience in a sex-negative society can be isolating. Exploring what these experiences look like with a partner(s) can also be challenging. My work is focused on creating a safe, warm, and inviting space for individuals and couples to receive therapy. Many of the couples I work with experience poor communication, lack of trust, and resistance to change. I believe those who are open to change and self-awareness are those who will benefit the most. I also enjoy working with individuals. You may be struggling with interpersonal issues. You may feel unsure of your identity and of the things you want in life. For both couples and individuals, my job is to walk with you on the path toward happiness and contentedness.

I founded Terrace House because I believe that each of us deserves the opportunity to design a life that we love; one in which we feel at home in our bodies, in our minds, in our relationships, and in our world. I enjoy working with couples, adults, and adolescents to define and change their relationship with the problems in their lives including: anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, identity exploration (including LGBTQ+), existential questions, spiritual concerns, career concerns, and relational wounds (including betrayal, divorce, and attachment.)

Sometimes it may feel like your inner worldview and dreams don’t match the outer world’s experiences and expectations. Sometimes we need help to gather all of our feelings, thoughts, beliefs, histories, and dreams in order to speak them out loud and make sense of them in a safe space. My goal is to help you share your story and your light with the world. When we share our story we heal; when we heal, we give to the greater world and the ripple of change is exponential. My ideal client's goals are to live authentically and freely, unapologetically, powerfully, and to find fulfillment in the day to day.

We can all use support during the challenging circumstances we are currently dealing with. I specialize in treating trauma, gender-based violence, generational trauma, low self-esteem, anxiety, and depression. I believe that effective therapy involves not only addressing mental health concerns but also acknowledging and honoring cultural nuances and sensitivities.
