Many of us face challenges that affect all aspects of our lives. If you are worried about your health or the health of a loved one, your financial situation, adjusting to working from home, currently not working or afraid that you will not be able to work, dealing with increased family tensions, feeling the loss of not being able to see your family members, or the grief of having lost someone, you don’t need to face these challenges alone.

I have worked with people experiencing a variety of problems including: neglect and abuse in childhood, sexual assault, addiction, severe anxiety and depression, dissociation, and personality disorders (BPD).
Through an in-depth, supportive, and reflective process, I help people slow down and gain relief from their emotional pain. Whether it comes from relationships or work, or from something more internal like anxiety or low self-esteem, such pain can limit you from living a full, productive, and meaningful life. In therapy, we will work together to identify the patterns of feeling and relating that lead to these problems. We will work to shift these patterns in order to to create a lasting sense of flexibility, freedom, and ease in navigating life.

Do you ever feel like your emotions are running the show—and you’re just along for the ride? One moment you’re holding it together, the next you’re overwhelmed, snapping, shutting down, or spiraling. It’s exhausting. It can feel like you’re drowning under the weight of stress, past hurts, and relationships that never seem to work the way you want them to. Are you stuck in survival mode—desperate for things to get better but unsure how to make that happen? Whether you're a parent worn down by your own stress, unsure how to support your child, or someone navigating trauma, disconnection, or emotional chaos, you're not alone in this.

I’m a psychoanalytic psychotherapist working with those who seek to understand of how their relationships and histories create personal patterns they cannot seem to shift on their own. Many have tried other therapies but felt something deeper was missing. They sense there is more beneath the surface, and they want a space where their inner world is taken seriously. I work with people navigating complicated family dynamics, especially adult children of emotionally inconsistent parents; LGBTQ+ individuals; creatives and writers; and people struggling with anxiety, shame, envy, or relational difficulties.

It's easy to get caught in a cycle of pain. I believe powerful healing takes place when there is someone who really sees us, walks with us through our pain, and is able to gently redirect us. This is what I seek to do each session with you. I work with teens and adults who suffer from anxiety, trauma, and depression. I invite you to bring whatever you're carrying.

Therapy is an experience where human beings learn to live differently. Differently is the key word. Different can look like less depression, more spontaneity, or deeper and more mutual relationships. Different can be learning to say "yes," "no," or "maybe." Different can be improved physical health, less anxiety, or sustained sobriety. When one begins treatment there's usually a percolating idea of what needs to be different. Helping you clarify the ways you'd like to live differently, what has gotten in your way up to this point, and how those changes can be made is psychotherapy.

Oh, hi! I'm Stacey and I support people who are navigating intense emotions, depression, anxiety, and patterns that feel harmful or overwhelming, including self-injury and thoughts of suicide. Many of the individuals I work with are seeking new ways to cope, connect, and feel more in control of their lives. I welcome teens, adults, and families, especially those facing challenges related to borderline personality disorder (BPD), trauma, or ongoing emotional pain. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is at the heart of my work because it offers practical, evidence-based skills that people can use to move toward the life they want.

Everyone encounters difficulties throughout life, and sometimes these challenges can feel overwhelming and hard to navigate alone. Whether stemming from a single event or accumulated stressors over time, unresolved experiences can lead to lasting emotional distress and interfere with daily functioning. My goal is to provide professional support that helps you process these experiences and move forward.

Hello! If you're reading this, I want you to know you are innately worthy of the care, change, and healing you so deeply desire. On top of that, you hold the power within to make those changes. Not only is this a belief I personally hold, it is one supported by research. On a molecular level, we are wired to develop and change when given what we need. This remains true starting from childhood and beyond into adulthood. Meaning, it's never too late to seek out wholeness and you haven't missed your chance.

I work with individuals suffering from depression, anxiety, and personality disorders.
When working with individuals, I aim to help them through a collaborative process to understand the underlying issues that are causing them to not live up to their potential. The model which I employ assumes that many of our struggles are connected to conflicts within us of which we are not completely aware. I feel that therapy is most effective when the entire person's personality and history are considered instead of just focusing on current problematic behaviors. My work focuses on recognizing long standing relationship patterns that are troublesome as well as developing a more emotionally stable and adaptive personality.

Sometimes joy feels out of reach and life feels overwhelming. So many of us deal with depression, anxiety, panic, suicidal ideation, and other painful symptoms of imbalance. If we're neurodivergent, it adds more layers to the struggle. Life can be more than pain. We can tap into our own inner resilience and learn to trust ourselves on the path of healing. I'm here to help with that. I see a variety of clients and especially enjoy working with autism, ADHD, OCD (including P-OCD), BPD, and spiritual/religious trauma. My style is relational, more focused on the mind/body experience than on rigid behavioral treatments.

Personality Disorders Therapists
What are the common treatment options for personality disorders?
Personality disorders are typically treated with psychotherapy, sometimes in conjunction with medication. Therapy can help people with personality disorders develop skills to tolerate difficult emotions, navigate interpersonal relationships, and solidify their sense of self. Medications can treat symptoms that co-occur with the disorder, such as depression, anger, aggression, and impulsivity.

When to seek treatment for personality disorders?
Even though treatment for personality disorders can be an uphill battle, it’s best to seek help if you suspect that you or a loved one is struggling with one, because personality disorders can create substantial problems in life. Symptoms depend on the specific disorder, but overall signs of personality disorders include consistent difficulty maintaining close relationships, dramatic variations in self-esteem, and an unstable sense of identity.

How long does therapy take for personality disorders?
The timeline for treating personality disorders isn’t as clear-cut as it is for other disorders. Change can be difficult, taking from around one year to five, 10, or more. The key is finding a therapist who has extensive experience treating the relevant disorder. For example, a psychologist who specializes in narcissistic personality disorder has specific communication strategies that allow them to sustain the relationship and be more effective with narcissistic patients.

Can therapy help people with personality disorders?
Research suggests that for those who are motivated to address concerns or interpersonal conflict related to a personality disorder, therapy is far more effective than no treatment, and that most people in therapy see improvements. However, since personality disorders involve entrenched elements of identity, they are less responsive to treatment than are other mental health conditions. Finding an expert who has extensive experience working with a given personality disorder is one factor that increases the likelihood of successful treatment.
