I have extensive experience working with teens, perinatal mental health, trauma histories, mood disorders, life transitions, and grief/ loss.
As a professional and a fellow client, I know this process from both sides of the couch. My foundation is in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, but I pull from techniques beyond CBT to provide a collaborative experience that won't feel rigid. A note for couples: I have a nontraditional approach to this type of work. My website is linked if you want to learn more!

If life feels heavy, overwhelming, or like you’ve been carrying too much on your own, you’re not alone. I work with teens and adults who are struggling with anxiety, stress, low mood, self-doubt, relationship challenges, or just feeling stuck and unsure of what’s next. Many of the people I work with are high-functioning on the outside but feel overwhelmed on the inside. In our work together, you’ll have a calm, supportive space where you can finally exhale, feel heard without judgment, and start making sense of what you’re going through. We’ll work together at your pace to help you feel more grounded, understood, and confident.

I used to wonder if there was a better way. Life had grown up all around me—full of meetings, milestones, & mayhem—but my coping skills hadn't gotten the memo. Maybe you feel like that too? Feeling lost in it all without a clear idea of what to change, what to do next, or what will actually move the needle. You're not alone. I often work with people who feel overwhelmed by worry, drained by fatigue, stuck in hopelessness, or stretched thin by relationship stress.

I help new parents and new adults get unstuck from a life of disconnection. Maybe you feel guilty for wanting more. Don't you already have the job, the partner, maybe kids? Even still, the edges are starting to fray and you don't feel connected to yourself and others in the ways you want. The self-help books, podcasts, and the mindfulness apps help, but there is still something missing.

Grief Therapists
How long does therapy take for grief?
There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.

When should you seek therapy for grief?
Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.

Can grief be managed without therapy?
Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.

What happens if grief is left untreated?
Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
