I am also passionate about working with parents to help them learn how to support their children across all stages of development.

Before joining Ellie as an LPC, my career was anchored within the public school system as a parent, substitute teacher, special education teacher, psychological examiner, and school-based therapist. Although children, teens, and young adults were my focus, I often found myself equally supporting guardians. My desire is to help clients of all ages use their strengths to find creative, practical, realistic ways to approach life's challenges.

I am interested in helping people find their way along their personal journey. I enjoy working with adults, couples and adolescents. My approach is gentle and supportive. My theory focuses on using a combination of Psychodynamic Theory, Cognitive Behavioral and Insight oriented therapies. I have practiced in the field for 30 years. I also have a passion for helping couples develop strong, healthy, loving, and trusting marriages. As an adoptive father I understand the issues and challenges faced by adoptive parents. I'm experienced in treating depression, anxiety, anger, grief, and issues related to codependency.

Joan Rabushka LMSW earned her Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Lindenwood University and her Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California in 2017. Joan specializes in eating disorders. Joan's practice focuses on treating clinical issues including: eating disorders, substance abuse, anxiety, depression. Joan works with individuals and groups. She leads the Eating Disorder Outpatient group. Joan draws from many different treatment approaches. Joan believes in meeting clients where they are at, and by using a strengths-based approach, this allows the client to gain empowerment and self-determination.
