Therapy acts as a catalyst for growth and speeds up the process of maturing into the best version of ourselves. I believe that everyone can benefit from this, not just people who have concerns regarding their mental health. I see depression, anxiety, and other challenges as opportunities for deep growth. Adversity helps forge character! For some this can be overwhelming and if this is the case, my first objective is to help relieve these symptoms. From there we can continue discovering you, master the challenges at hand, and keep peeling back the layers of your best self.

We are often our own worst critics. Though achievement and goal setting are important, we can neglect our relationships, hobbies, and health for things that feel more important. In the name of self-improvement, we miss the moments of pleasure and connection that give life meaning. I believe that therapy offers the space to slow down, to notice the goodness surrounding us, and to practice acceptance. We all have the capacity to achieve our goals without sacrificing the things that bring us joy.

Are you just f-ing tired? If you're exhausted with feeling inadequate, anxious, or overwhelmed- you've come to the right place. My work with individuals and couples is based on building communication skills. Knowing how to communicate with your partner, boss, friends-and even yourself-is not something you're born with. Struggling to communicate your needs, wants, and boundaries can make life feel like an uphill battle. Some common themes that might bring you to therapy are: chronic illness, breakups, work stress, grief, trauma, and family "drama."

When working with individuals, I aim to help them through a collaborative process to understand the underlying issues that are causing them to not live up to their potential. The model which I employ assumes that many of our struggles are connected to conflicts within us of which we are not completely aware. I feel that therapy is most effective when the entire person's personality and history are considered instead of just focusing on current problematic behaviors. My work focuses on recognizing long standing relationship patterns that are troublesome as well as developing a more emotionally stable and adaptive personality.

Psychosis Therapists
What’s the most effective treatment for psychosis?
The most effective treatment for psychosisis coordinated specialty care. In this model, a team of professionals works with a patient to address all aspects of the underlying disorder. This approach incorporates individual or group therapy, employment and education support, family support and education, medication management (which often involves low doses of antipsychotics), and case management to facilitate problem-solving as needed.
When should people seek treatment for psychosis?
People should seek immediate treatment at the earliest indication of psychosis. Symptoms include delusions, hallucinations, disorganized or blocked speech, and agitated body movements. Early signs that a person may be developing a disorder that will lead to psychosis include suspiciousness of others, memory problems and distractibility, an inability to think clearly, rapid or nonsensical speech, withdrawal from friends or family, aggression toward others, and sensitivity to bright lights or noises.
What if psychosis is left untreated?
Without treatment, psychosis can have significant repercussions, including injuries, job loss, homelessness, financial or legal trouble, ruptured relationships, and suffering for the person and their family. While early treatment for psychosis often yields the best results, there is no point past which it becomes useless to seek treatment. At any point, treatment can make a difference.
How do I get someone else to seek treatment for psychosis?
It’s extremely difficult to watch a loved one suffer from hallucinations, delusions, and other elements of psychosis—sometimes exacerbated by their fears of treatment. Have a conversation with them in a quiet space and maintain a calm, supportive tone. Share your concerns about behaviors you’ve observed, suggest treatment, and explain the potential benefits. Listen carefully to their responses. The person may not be ready after one conversation, but with time, they may come around.
