My experience with helping individuals and families overcome difficult challenges is my passion. I believe that it easier to find and build upon one's strengths than it is to focus primarily on fixing problems. Much of my time in therapy is spent on discovering creative solutions rather than talking too long just about what is wrong. I often involve the whole family and believe that every person is unique and requires an individualized approach. One size does not fit all. Please call me or email today discuss your needs and hopes and/or to set an appointment time.
Hello! To say my life has been interesting is an understatement. If it's unusual or a rare thing it's most likely happened to me or I've helped someone dealing with it. In order to be a well-rounded therapist, I have worked in state agencies, schools, and now for myself. I dedicated five years to fulfill contracts with the military (all over the world) to assist active duty and their families. It's very important to me to make sure your therapy is in tune with your needs. I don't do cookie-cutter therapy. I proudly call my business LHC and Company because I believe in teamwork with you and those I need to get the work done.
Life can be overwhelming, exhausting, and even lonely at times. The everyday battle of constant pressures and overload of doubts, worries, and negativity can sometimes be too much. Especially, as a child, adolescent, or young adult who is trying to navigate the confusing balance of school, relationships, and expectations, while handling the changes that come with growing up. No matter where those pressures are coming from, having a safe space where you can connect, be heard, and work through those situations and emotions can be life changing.
I love that my profession allows me to connect with a wide array of people. I work with individuals ranging from late adolescence to late adulthood. I also provide family sessions for my clients, as needed. Hearing people's experiences throughout my time as a counselor has shown me how resilient people can be, and it's truly inspiring. I enjoy working with motivated clients who are ready and willing to make changes and break out of unhealthy patterns.
My clients reach out to me because they want to create positive change in their lives and I'm here to walk alongside them, providing encouragement along the way and empowering them to be the best version of their selves they can possibly be! My clients experience a wide range of life stressors from anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship issues, identity issues, and stress just to name a few. If you are ready to reach out for help, I'm ready to support and power you along the way.

Sessions will involve working together to help gain insight into thoughts, emotions, and behaviors; and learn healthy coping skills. I believe in matching the pace of therapy to where the individual is and what changes they feel ready to conquer.
I help my clients find their strengths and utilize them to improve their difficulties. I focus on your experiences and preferences in therapy and rely on your feedback to provide you with the service you need. I have experience with treating interpersonal and personal difficulties. I also have experience treating anxiety, depression, and other mental disorders. I look forward to working with you to meet your goals!
Through one-on-one counseling or group sessions, I utilize take-home tools and day-to-day life applications to help my clients experience the freedom associated with self awareness and self acceptance. I am passionate about creating a guilt free environment and open forum for any and all discussions.
I specialize in three types of clients- people who use food to cope with life's stressors, individuals who want to quit smoking, and those who want a safe space to process difficult moments. I value working with you to help you learn ways to sit with, process, and cope with life's challenges. I value your time and am confident we can work together in a safe place to find peace, healing, and happiness. My genuine sense of curiosity inspires me to listen wholeheartedly and to approach experiences with a focus on prioritizing relationships, connection, and empathy.
I believe that simply being truly listened to can be powerful and transformative. Beyond that, many come to counseling to process past traumas and experiences, change behaviors, or develop new, healthier coping skills. While I use an eclectic approach to counseling that draws from techniques grounded in behavioral and existential theories, my ultimate goal is to tailor the experience for the unique person you are.
Reaching out for help can be difficult and intimidating. The truth, however, is that we are all human and there comes a time in everyone's life where we need help. Maybe we just need a non-judgmental, open minded, trustworthy person that we can sit down and talk to. Someone that can really listen and help to sort out our feelings and our situation. Someone who can help to make better sense of what is going on and maybe even help to come up with a plan for changing it.

Individuals who are ready to put in the work needed to navigate this life are the ones who will succeed.
"What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us." - Unknown I believe that we have the answers to our own struggles, but sometimes we just need help accessing those answers. My approach to counseling is one of helping my clients understand themselves better so that they can face life's difficulties with confidence.
