I am a licensed professional counselor specializing in Play Therapy. My passion is working with children and families. I have extensive experience working with children in various capacities; daycare provider, preschool teacher, junior high teacher, high school teacher, middle school counselor and play therapist. I believe in working with the entire family when treating a child. The entire family system needs assessed, in order to enact change, to aid in the healing of a child who has experienced trauma or who is experiencing adjustment difficulties. I welcome the opportunity to work with children ages 3 - 18 and their families.

I have 30 years experience doing psychological and neuropsychological assessments (including ADHD and ASD assessments) for school-aged children and adults of all ages. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker/therapist with over 30 years of clinical experience. I specialize in helping adults who with depression, PTSD, and anxiety. Additionally, I have extensive experience working with people who are struggling with alcohol or substance abuse. I specialize in helping LGBTQ and elderly clients. I am available on to work with you in setting goals for treatment. During the initial visit, we will begin discussing what brought you to therapy and what you would like to receive from our sessions together.

Though sometimes our intentions do not manifest and we become stagnant and distressed. In my therapy I like to focus on what we can control...ourselves. Beyond my education, I have experience working with children ages 3 and up, adolescents, and adults with a variety of mental health issues, including severe and persistent mental illnesses, addictions, trauma, abuse, neglect, couples and relationship issues, grief and loss, and mood/anxiety disorders. I use a multidisciplinary approach based on the individual and their specific need and therefore use a variety of therapeutic models.
