Every person has their own history and their own struggles. They have their own ways of dealing with these struggles and sometimes they simply need help. I find great joy in helping people through difficult times. I specialize in trauma related issues such as PTSD, anxiety, and depression. I like to work with clients at their own pace, gently and compassionately. I offer both in person and online appointments. I like to think of the first appointment as a time for you to decide if you think that we might be a good match.

To be a therapist is to be a co-laborer of change. I believe in getting in the trenches with my clients to work on the tough stuff. My greatest joy is watching clients leave my office having their awesome, life changing ah ha moments! Let's face it, sometimes in life we get stuck. Rightfully so, life is hard and sometimes we need help picking up the pieces with no judgment about our past. I believe that when we invite those stuck parts of us in to be learned and understood then, consistent progress is inevitable.

Find what you truly seek. You've spent enough time searching. Let's get you out of this place. You see the traps you keep falling into, the ones you can’t make it through alone. You know better but need help to get there. Find liberation from your bad habits. Caring so much about meaningless thoughts, tangling yourself in webs of superficiality, losing yourself to old coping mechanisms. Be done with all of it. Let’s do something about those familiar grooves you get stuck in. I work with clients who can see their patterns and behaviors and know there’s a better way. You wanting to change and grow is the key ingredient.

Please email for the quickest response. Now offering an 8-week men's group. This is a group for men who are looking to make improvement in their health, wealth, and relationships. The group provides support and accountability to make the changes necessary to reach your goals. It's a safe place to play it unsafe and be vulnerable with other men. Also, it is a lot of fun.

Psychologically maturity & increased self awareness enables a person to live an authentic life which manifests from a place of truth. You have to name it to tame it. When a person can boldly speak his/her truth relationships become healthier & less dramatic. Then you your truth will become your existence. We make our feelings a problem when they are simply information that needs to be leveraged to discover new things about self, relationships & the world. When you are able to eliminate shame and blame from your response cycle, the shift to compassionate understanding promotes change and growth in body, mind & spirit.

Men's Issues Therapists

Is therapy for men different than it is for women?

Therapeutic treatments and types are the same for men as they are for women, with the same protocols followed and the same strategies employed. Discussing one’s feelings and emotions is an integral part of most therapies, and some men find doing so more challenging. Therapists can help clients through the process; some specialize in treating men for this reason.

How do you encourage a man to go to therapy?

It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either himself or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.

How can men prepare for therapy?

Men can prepare for therapy by approaching the process with an open mind, being willing to talk about their challenges, and giving treatment the time to work. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. It can be useful for men who struggle to recall their emotional states to write down notes between sessions about their response to a given event or how they were feeling at a particular time.

What should men know about the process of therapy?

One of the most common reasons men don’t seek therapy is the notion that there’s something wrong with them if they do. Men should know that just because they’re seeking therapy doesn’t mean they’re mentally ill or damaged in some way. In the same way people work on their bodies through exercise or a craft through practice, therapy can be a way to improve the mental and emotional skills needed to be productive and effective partners, employees, and people in all realms of life.
