Have you been suffering in silence or struggling with relationships? Know that hope is near. We all have experienced pain that if left untreated, can keep us trapped, inhibiting our ability to enjoy life and genuinely connect with others. There are three main areas that are near and dear to my heart: Children who’ve gone through adverse life experiences, women having difficulty navigating life stages, and victims or survivors of betrayal trauma: emotional, physical or sexual abuse. Know that it will take time to heal, courage to face the reality of your experience, and a steady commitment to your own healing.

I have specialized training in treating trauma and utilize EMDR on a regular basis to facilitate healing.
I have 16 years of clinical experience in treating mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, anger, relationship issues, and most mental health disorders. Wellness is possible for everyone no matter what they have had to walk through. Coping is possible, but healing is essential to move beyond the places we become stuck.

I use EMDR and ego state therapy to help client achieve that freedom.
As many differences as we all have, we all have things in common - we all have pain, and we're all made both to be healed and to heal each other. I hope to teach others to prioritize their own wellbeing because I have found when I prioritize myself that is how I help heal others. So many of us have been taught that selflessness means prioritizing everyone else first. Selflessness really means losing track of self-consciousness and ego as we pursue joy, spirituality and depth. To be selfless is freedom from guilt, shame, and self judgement.

In therapy I use EMDR and CBT, we have a nutritionist available, and we work with medical providers to explore how nutrition, hormones, etc impact us.
What is self actualization? Maslow would say it is the process of becoming “everything you are capable of becoming.” One of the most exciting and painful journeys we face is truly understanding who we are and who we can become. One of my biggest passions in practice is empowering people as they take this journey. With neurodiversity, many people have found this process stressful and even traumatic. In reality, what they are capable of is often truly remarkable when they learn to embrace it. I have found so much joy in watching clients find relief, empathy for themselves, and excitement when they learn to understand themselves.

I enjoy helping children, families, and young adult individuals improve their mental and emotional functioning through evidence based approaches such as Trauma Focused CBT (TF-CBT), EMDR , and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
It is important to me that all individuals feel welcome and supported during the counseling process and I am passionate about creating a safe and secure atmosphere to assist clients in overcoming whatever challenges they might be facing. I have worked with a diverse population of clientele, including teen and adult members of the LGBTQ+ community, and have experience working in a residential setting to help children and their families overcome trauma, behavioral, and mental health issues. I also have experience working with adult individuals and couples to improve their relationships and overall well-being.

Healthy boundaries, relationships and communication can be really hard. Feelings of doubt, anxiety and /or depression can influence our behaviors, emotions and mood. If these or other areas of concern are preventing you from reaching your full potential, counseling can be an empowering experience. We open our lives and our hearts to strangers in counseling. It’s natural to want to find a person whom you can relate to and trust before beginning this journey. I look forward to partnering with you during your time of discovery. As an EMDR practioner we can discuss if this integrated approach is right for you.

Almost everyone can benefit from EMDR .
Do you feel stuck or like failure is your normal? Do you have painful memories or nightmares of the past that still haunt you and wish you could just move past them? Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing ( EMDR ) is an evidence-based treatment that resolves the body's response to trauma, phobias, or negative life experiences. Whether you are a survivor of a horrific trauma or you have experienced adverse life events, I’m here to help you move past those experiences and into a more fulfilling future. Most people can benefit from EMDR therapy, which is often coupled with CBT and other therapies.

Typically, I use a blend of modalities, such as emotionally focused individual therapy and EMDR , to help clients create safety for themselves.
Hi! I’m passionate about helping people reduce the spiral of anxiety, connect with themselves and others, and heal from past hurt. To help clients, I often start by establishing stability - learning to ride the waves out. After some stability, we work on healing the inner systems by understanding how and why those waves matter to someone.

In individual work, I utilize EFT, AEDP, EMDR , Brainspotting, and/or Progressive Counting depending on the presenting issue(s).
I truly believe that all people want to and deserve to feel good and be happy. Much of our lives are spent trying to achieve these goals yet we continue to feel disappointed and like something is missing. I work with issues such as anxiety, depression, conflict in relationships, difficulty with emotions, trauma, shame, or even a general sense of hopelessness or discontentment in life. My hope in therapy is to come alongside you and make sense of what you are feeling and/or experiencing while working toward healing and wholeness in yourself and your relationships.

I utilize EMDR to help process past events and trauma.
You have a story. A very important and unique story. Sometimes your story keeps you stuck. It keeps you from being the best version of yourself. If your story involves trauma whether from sexual abuse, divorce as an adult or child, physical or verbal abuse, relationship conflict, boundary confusion, religious confusion, natural disasters, accidents, etc, I can help you reprocess these memories and the negative things that you tell yourself. It takes a lot of strength to reach out and ask for help however, I will provide you a safe space to do just that.

I have an interest in helping those who have experienced trauma and am trained in EMDR .
Life can be a struggle at times. We can get stuck and have difficulty finding answers on our own. But you are not alone and there is hope for a better future. I provide a safe and compassionate space for you to share your story and together we will work to find a solution. I work with individual clients and couples. All beliefs and backgrounds are welcome. I believe in taking a holistic and client-centered approach and believe that therapy should meet the client’s individual and unique needs. The relationship between the counselor and client is a special one and I would be honored to have the opportunity to earn your trust.

EMDR Therapists
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is an information processing therapy that helps clients cope with trauma, addictions, and phobias. During this treatment, the patient focuses on a specific thought, image, emotion, or sensation while simultaneously watching the therapist's finger or baton move in front of his or her eyes. The client is told to recognize what comes up for him/her when thinking of an image; then the client is told to let it go while doing bilateral stimulation.
