When we partner together I will not only listen and support you, but I will teach you skills, techniques, and tools that you can use for the rest of your life.
Hi, my name is Kim Sanders and I am totally passionate about assisting others towards living a balanced healthy whole-person life; physically, mentally, spiritually, relationally, emotionally, and behaviorally. Walking into an office (living room setting) with a complete stranger to share your deepest struggles and pain can be very difficult. My goal is to help clients feel comfortable and safe during therapy sessions, especially during their first session. I believe the wisest people are those who realize when they need help and have the courage to make it to that first appointment.

60% of why you get better in therapy is the therapeutic relationship and the other 40% are techniques to reprogram how you have been operating until now.
Hi, I'm Adam Pearson, I have a Master's in Clinical Psychology and was trained by a Psychiatrist for 2 years. I use a variety of techniques and tools. Therapy is typically 8-16 weeks, around 8 weeks your symptoms should be going from Severe to Moderate, and 16-18 weeks moderate to mild. I practice from a faith based perspective but all are welcome. You can text, call or email and I usually can see a new patient within 48-72 hours. I had PTSD, Depression, OCD and am now free. Now it's your turn! This is where you learn to love and like yourself, maybe for the first time. I have helped 1000s. This is your flying lesson!

Do you find that you don’t respond to stress the way you want to? You try to cope, but don’t have enough tools in the toolbox? Are you dealing with relationship stress? Or maybe struggling with unwanted habits? It’s common to find ourselves here at various points in our lives and it’s hard. What would it be like to feel calmer and stronger? To be able to look at situations without being clouded by past experiences. To be better able to make choices?

I specialize in the treatment of relationship difficulties which can include communication issues, sexual health issues, education, re-evaluating roles in life and relationships, etc.
Change is about hope, about effort, about personal growth. My goal as I work with clients is to help facilitate that effort as they strive for the growth they desire. I believe change occurs by awareness and establishing one's authentic vision of who they wish to be--as an individual, a parent, a partner , a friend. I work collaboratively with clients to help them bring about positive changes in their lives that make sense to them, according to their personal values.

You have a story. A very important and unique story. Sometimes your story keeps you stuck. It keeps you from being the best version of yourself. If your story involves trauma whether from sexual abuse, divorce as an adult or child, physical or verbal abuse, relationship conflict, boundary confusion, religious confusion, natural disasters, accidents, etc, I can help you reprocess these memories and the negative things that you tell yourself. It takes a lot of strength to reach out and ask for help however, I will provide you a safe space to do just that.

I work best with clients who know what it's like to struggle - whether the struggle is emotional, physical, financial, or spiritual in nature. My clients typically want a place where they have the room and safety to work through hard topics without judgment on their character, but also someone who will challenge them and assist them in pushing themselves in their growth. They want these things because they truly desire growth in their lives, and they know they can't achieve it with a "yes man" as their therapeutic partner .

I provide information, encouragement, and understanding to support new skill development and personal growth for individuals and couples .
I work with people who, as a result of their painful past, experience overwhelming emotions, frequent triggers and feel stuck in self-defeating behavior. I gently point to the healing of mind and spirit that frees them from their pasts, creates structure and confidence within themselves and promotes an intentional and personally satisfying life. My clinical experience over the last 17 years has given me the opportunity to stand in awe of how God heals individuals and couples , He brings beauty out of the chaos and pain and deepens our understanding of ourselves, each other and most importantly His grace in our lives.

Life is full of transitions. Changes in employment, relationship status, becoming a parent, the illness or death of a loved one, relocating or developing a new health issue are some of the most challenging life transitions. Without adequate emotional support and healthy coping skills, the extra stress can lead to developing further physical and mental health problems. Depression, anxiety, insomnia, substance abuse and family conflicts can appear or worsen as a result of not having support and knowledge of how to manage life changes. I educate and support my clients as they learn to think and care for themselves in a healthier way.

If hopelessness, loneliness, fear, anger, and despair are a part of your regular experience, there is help. Trauma and narcissistic abuse survivors often feel isolated and it is my heart to offer support to those individuals who are walking through healing and towards wholeness. Many people live their daily lives carrying these heavy burdens all alone. Sometimes marriage problems or recovery issues seem overwhelming, but you do NOT have to accept that as normal living. I am a specialist in life recovery.

Couples Counseling Therapists

Does couples counseling work?

Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.

When should a couple seek counseling?

Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.

How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?

The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.

How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?

The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
