I specialize in EMDR therapy and individual counseling for adults and adolescents with mental illness, challenging life changes, trauma, interpersonal conflicts and everything in between. I strive to create a non-judgmental space where we work together to lay everything out on the table, so that you can better understand what's holding you back and what's moving you forward. Through learning mindfulness, engaging self-compassion and reconciling the relationship to the body, we will heal the hurts and find a new way of engaging in the vibrant life around you.

Stepping out to ask for help can be incredibly intimidating and uncomfortable. I know how hard it is to ask for help, but the simple fact that you are looking for help makes you a step closer to healing than you were yesterday. Effective therapy is one that is based on a strong therapeutic relationship built on a mutual goal of healthy living. When emotions become overwhelming, we will work together to overcome struggles. First year social work students are always asked what their preferred population or job is when they graduate. Although most therapist do not know what they want to do for years, I knew right away that I wanted to work with children and their families. I am specifically passionate about children and families that have been affected by the foster care system. Research proves that what happens in childhood affects us all as adults. Although therapy does not magically make trauma go away, I want to help reduce the level of disturbance that trauma causes children so that they can be the best version of themselves as an adult.
