Megan also specializes in relational and communication skills for parenting, high-conflict divorce , co-parenting, and blended/step-families.
Megan’s ideal client is a child, adolescent, partners, or parent(s) seeking understanding, meaning, and healing in their life and in their relationships. Often, these are clients that have already begun their journey; they’ve read books, taken quizzes, or have completed a workbook and yet, it’s still not working. The ideal client is ready to try something different to reach their potential. Honoring our humanity and the world we live in, I utilize an umbrella approach that begins with a Trauma-Informed and Attachment Lens. Under the umbrella, are approaches used to meet the client where they are at and enable new skills to develop.

Often this works includes attention to anxiety and/or depression, relationship challenges, or life transitions. My work is thoughtfully designed for each client and situation. Transitions such as relationships, challenging family dynamics, identity crisis, trauma, career, abuse, divorce , loss, and grief.
Often a question asked prior to counseling is, am I thriving or simply surviving? Individuals question their life path and need help to figure out where to start exploring. We work to identify strengths, areas of growth, and both are used to help cultivate a fulfilling life experience. Clients head and hearts can be on different pages so we work to connect them which in-turn causes less uncertainty and confusion in decision making.

I'm Mark Glover. As someone who has benefited from the services that I now provide, I know that Relationship Counseling is hard work that involves courage as well as commitment. I have also observed how it can be a powerful impetus for hope and a tool to precipitate change, even in the middle of very challenging circumstances. In the context of working with couples, my goal is to help partners to connect more deeply to themselves and to each other through communication and caring.

We spend our lives in relationships--with family, friends and most significantly our spouses or partners. Those relationships can be fufilling and provide great happiness. But sometimes relationships can become frustrating, stressful or emotionally exhausting. Working with an experienced therapist can help you determine the real problematic issues and what could help to improve the relationship. You may want to evaluate if your relationship is truly healthy or not. I see adults, couples and adolescents.

This is not how it’s supposed to be. Tuning out the pain works some days. Others, it is relentless, overwhelming. It can hurt to blink. Thank goodness there’s work. the kids. the dog. They give a reason to get out of bed – avoid the guilt. No one understands. Going along with my boss or partner seems so simple at the time - until it turns sour. Irritability comes out of nowhere. Snap! Then crash! At least social distancing makes isolating more acceptable. It’s all so exhausting. Like having the gas pedal and the brake to the floor, at the same time. ‘Coping’ and ‘managing’ are a joke. Is relief too much to ask?!

The therapy process is personal in nature, therefore, I believe that it is very important for anyone who is seeking therapy find the right therapist for them. In my practice I rely on several theoretical approaches such as: interpersonal psychology, psychodynamics, cognitive-behavioral, and family systems. My eclectic approach develops a comprehensive and personal approach built on my premise: how we feel, think, and act is because of genetics, upbringing, and life experiences.

I focus on the unique challenges of those in high-pressure careers. The intensity of these jobs often leads to relationship problems, anxiety about performance, stress, exhaustion, and burnout, resulting in a shrinking support network and frustrated partners. That’s why I also focus on the families of such individuals.

When I reflect on my education, professional, personal experience and distill my thoughts; I conclude *You are feeling pretty bad or you would not be making this search. *You want some part or several parts of your life to work better. *What used to work or what you do to improve things is not helping or not helping fast enough.* People change many areas and elements of their life when they figure out what needs attention, what to do, and how.* People are embarrassed to make this first call for information but also know - It Is Time to Do Something.

Divorce Therapists
The dissolution of a marriage is almost always an upsetting event, at the very least marked by disappointment and the loss of dreams and expectations.

A divorce therapist in Wayzata can help you by exploring the struggles you’re facing, identifying whether or not those problems can be resolved, creating a realistic picture of what life would look like after divorce, and how your children could be affected and protected. In the process of answering these questions, a divorce therapist helps you work towards acceptance and forgiveness.
