I am an LPCC who works with both teen and adult clients.
I am passionate about making sure people know they don’t have to deal with all of life’s twists and turns on their own. Whether you’re experiencing a particularly stressful season or you’re looking to heal from something you’ve been carrying for a long time, I believe we can work through it together. I provide a non-judgmental, relaxed environment in which you can unpack what’s on your mind, explore unhelpful thought/behavior patterns, and grow in your confidence to challenge them.

Are you feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship struggles, or difficult family dynamics? Maybe you are navigating divorce or separation, parenting challenges, caregiving for a loved one, chronic illness, boundaries, or the emotional weight of supporting someone with mental illness. When life feels heavy, it can be hard to know where to begin. You may feel emotionally exhausted, stuck, worried, or like you are carrying everything on your own. Even highly capable people can reach a point where they need support.

I enjoy working with people as they navigate life transitions - high school students preparing for college, twenty-somethings figuring out life post-college, people in early recovery, new parents, women navigating motherhood, older adults post-retirement.
You didn’t end up here by accident. Something inside has been nudging you, telling there’s more for you. You honored that feeling by starting to research and explore your options, and the significance of taking that first step can’t be understated. It’s a big deal. Now you’re here, and I’m privileged to have your time and attention for just a moment. I don’t know what brings you here, but I can tell you this – you are not alone. As a fellow human being, I’m intimately familiar with sadness, confusion, regret, shame, grief, disappointment, fear and rejection. And let me tell you, it’s not always easy doing this thing called life.

I specialize in treating social anxiety and trauma, especially in neurodivergent teens and adults.
I am unusual in two ways. First, I have spent decades helping neurodivergent teens and adults succeed in relationships, work, and academics. Second, I have a lot of experience working across cultures. It has become easy for me to adapt my approach to harmonize with those from other countries, particularly those whose first language isn't English.

For this reason, I am here to be a vessel for God to work. My hope is God will do for you what he has done for me.

Life can feel overwhelming when you're facing anxiety, relationship struggles, a major transition, the challenges of pregnancy/motherhood, or the effects of past trauma. You deserve support that goes deeper than just coping. My approach is trauma-focused and rooted in the nervous system, helping clients understand how stress, past experiences, and survival patterns can show up emotionally and physically. I love helping couples and individuals understand the intersection of trauma, attachment, the nervous system, and relationships.

Relationships can reach places where hope feels uncertain, communication breaks down, and it's difficult to know what comes next. Some couples long for closeness while others need clarity as they find themselves on the brink. Whether you're longing to reconnect, questioning the future of your relationship, or feeling pulled in different directions, you don't have to navigate that uncertainty alone.

Let’s get to it. I’m here to help you create meaningful change in your life. I specialize in trauma work, which means that from our very first session, I’ll help you explore how present-day challenges may be connected to past experiences. I live for helping clients have things "click" and finally make sense for them. My goal is always to bring hope, clarity, and forward movement right from the start. Many of the clients I work with come to me after traditional talk therapy hasn’t been enough. I’m here to offer a fresh perspective and to collaborate with you on creative, effective solutions that fit to your needs.

I believe one of the bravest things you can do is better understand your own story. Working through your past allows you to better understand your patterns, beliefs, and strengths to optimize where you are headed. Too often in life, we experience events that silence us, making it hard to know where to turn. In my office, I work hard to create and hold space for my clients rooted in compassion, empathy, and safety. No matter where you are in your journey, I believe everyone has the potential to find more peace and live closer to their authentic beings.

FAQ - About Adult Counseling
Why should adults see a therapist?
Adults may benefit from therapy for a wide range of reasons—whether it’s managing symptoms of a diagnosed mental health condition like anxiety or depression, navigating life transitions, coping with grief or trauma, or simply seeking support during a challenging life period. Many adults find that therapy helps them build healthier coping skills and better process their emotions, which may lead to better relationships and reduced stress. It’s important to note that, unlike psychiatrists or primary care physicians, therapists do not prescribe psychiatric medication. However, they will often work alongside prescribing clinicians to ensure coordinated care and can provide behavioral therapy as an important addition to psychiatric medication. Mental health concerns can look different in adulthood than in childhood or adolescence, so finding a therapist with expertise working with adult clients is important. Conditions like major depressive disorder (MDD), generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), bipolar disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), for instance, may present or resurface differently in adulthood than in childhood or adolescence. Adult-specific stressors, such as job strain, caregiving responsibilities, relationship challenges, financial stress, or identity transitions, can also influence the onset and type of symptoms an individual experiences. Adult-focused therapists, therefore, are trained to understand these complexities and tailor care accordingly.

How do I know if a therapist is the right fit for me?
When seeking care, it’s important to understand a therapist’s treatment specialties and their overall approach to treatment . Some therapists focus on common adult conditions like anxiety or depression, while others specialize in areas such as trauma, substance use disorders, or obsessive-compulsive disorder. It’s also important to consider a therapist’s training when seeking care. Therapists hold various licenses depending on their training and state requirements. Common therapy credentials include Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs), Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHCs), Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs), and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFTs). Psychologists (PhD or PsyD) receive additional doctoral-level training and may focus on assessments or more specialized therapeutic approaches. All of these professionals can provide talk therapy but do not prescribe medication. When searching for a therapist, consider their credentials and training background to ensure a good fit.

How do I find a therapist who sees adults?
Psychology Today’s online directory allows you to search specifically for therapists who work with adults. Each provider profile includes key information such as clinical specialties, therapeutic approaches, licensure, accepted insurance plans, languages spoken, and session fees. Reviewing these details can help you determine whether a particular provider aligns with your needs and can indicate whether they are a good match for adult clients.
