I am a fully trained and Certified EMDR Therapist. EMDR is effective in reducing anxiety and reactivity to emotional triggers often caused by painful memories. EMDR speeds up processing of distressing experiences and memories by accessing the emotional and intellectual parts of our brain. Most clients report positive changes quicker in comparison to traditional talk therapy. Together we'll tailor a treatment plan and healthy strategies to meet your goals. Call for a complimentary 15 minute consultation to see if we'd be a good fit in working together.

“‘Why should I listen to my heart?’” “‘Because you'll never again be able to keep it quiet. Even if you pretend not to have heard what it tells you, it will always be there inside you, repeating to you what you’re thinking about life & about the world. You will never be able to escape from your heart.’” The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. I've had the privilege to assist individuals to grow through curiosity into deeper awareness of their thoughts, limiting beliefs, and identification of any root issues. I enjoy assisting individuals to reconnect with the core of who they were created to be, before the world and trauma had their impacts.

Faithful and True focuses on helping men find freedom from unwanted sexual behaviors and provides guidance and direction for women experiencing betrayal trauma.
The condition of our relationships are crucial for overall peace and contentment in our lives. As someone trained in marriage and family therapy, I focus on the space between you and your loved ones. Sometimes there are past histories of resentment, nonproductive communication styles or cognitive filters that are us causing problems. Sometimes our way of being in the world or the structure of our systems keep us stuck in problematic cycles and patterns. In our work together, we can increase self-awareness and create pathways to relational healing.

I especially enjoy working with women who struggle with anger.
With a compassionate, non-judgmental and interactive approach, I seek to assist people in making desired changes in relationships, behaviors and outlook on life. For over 20 years, I have helped individuals, couples and groups by providing a safe and open place to talk about their lives and share their stories. I specialize in the treatment of depression, anxiety and relationship issues and have particular expertise in trauma, PTSD and anger management. These can be painful, distressing issues but my calm, caring manner is paired with practical, effective methods. The result is relief, hopefulness and re-building of emotional health.

I provide therapy to teens, women, and men with a special interest in working individuals who have experienced trauma, post-partum symptoms, anxiety, depression, and PTSD.
Hi, I’m Lindsey Weber. The first step into therapy can feel uncomfortable and uncertain. My goal is to create a supportive, affirming, and collaborative environment where you are free to explore thoughts, beliefs, and patterns that are no longer serving you. I value the individual experience and work to create an equitable and inclusive experience that values and recognizes diversity and the individual.

Therapy for the woman looking for effective and compassionate support making sustainable life changes in mind-body-spirit health.
Identifying myself as an empath, a highly feeling and sensitive being, I best support other women feeling the pressures and demands of society's unrealistic expectations to do and be everything to everyone but ourselves. The most important relationship and lasting improvement we'll make is the clarity and love you have in relationship to your Self.

I'm a biracial Asian-American woman passionate about racial and ethnic diversity, equity, and inclusion.
I support individual adults (18+) in addressing challenges, some of which include healing and wellness from depression, anxiety, trauma (generational/PTSD/racial), life transitions, stress, low self-esteem, and cultural and relationship challenges. In doing so, I utilize person-centered, strength-based, trauma-informed, and systemic approaches in therapy with specific techniques from ACT, narrative, DBT, CBT, and EMDR. Clients can expect unconditional care, a sense of authenticity, respect for their unique story, and yes, even a space for humor when participating in one of my sessions.

As a first mother, first generation immigrant, child refugee, and Bosnian-American woman, my identities inform the way I show up in the therapeutic space.
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I have a deep understanding of how our relationships impact and are impacted by our emotional and mental well-being. I help adults and couples learn how to connect emotionally, navigate conflict and communication barriers fairly, and develop authentic and compassionate ways to attune. I have helped many intercultural couples design a road map when there isn’t one in place. I am also passionate about working with developmental trauma, inner-child wounding, and attachment injuries, in order to help you become the person, partner, parent, adult child, community member or friend you desire to be.

Female Therapists

Does it matter what gender my therapist is?

In general, there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or because they feel more comfortable with a therapist of their own gender due to shared life experiences or perspectives. Considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender may matter or improve their therapeutic experience. The most important consideration is that a client is able to build a trusting relationship with their therapist.

Should I see a female therapist?

Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist. For women, this could be because they believe that they will be able to better connect with a woman, and that a female therapist will be able to relate to their specific challenges and personal issues. It may be particularly beneficial for women to see a female therapist, for example, for gender-specific issues, such as sexism in the workplace, relationship issues, and gender roles. The most important factor in therapy is the client-therapist connection, and a therapist's gender as well as many other factors may play an important role in this.

Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?

Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.

How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?

It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
