My ideal clients are teens and adults navigating misophoina, trauma, high abilities of dissociation, OCD, and late-discovered ADHD/autism. Many are queer or neurodivergent, seeking a therapist who meets them with humor, care, and flexibility. Their goals are to feel grounded, authentic, and empowered in daily life. I work from a systems perspective, recognizing the importance and impact of one’s primary relationships and social systems on one’s wellness. I offer a sex-positive, kink- and ENM-affirming space.

My clients are typically folks who identify as marginalized in some way, especially folks who identify as queer, neurodivergent, and/or disabled. I specialize in supporting folks who are chronically ill. I love working with folks with "scary" or stigmatized diagnoses, including borderline personality disorder. Although I am now proud to live in Minnesota, I am originally from Massachusetts, which comes out in my directness and my humor, both of which are tools I like to use to support clients. I became a therapist because I love people, and I am motivated by my values of inclusivity and equity to find ways to make therapy accessible

My ideal client is an adult seeking clarity. They may have spent years wondering whether they are autistic, often after a lifetime of feeling different, masking, or working incredibly hard to meet expectations. I specialize in working with people socialized as female, the trans/queer community, and those who have felt overlooked or misunderstood by our systems. Many are high-achieving professionals who function well externally but experience chronic exhaustion, overwhelm, or a persistent sense of not quite fitting. Others are exploring identity, executive functioning challenges, or sensory differences.

My expertise is in supporting folks of all identities in navigating religious trauma, spiritual abuse, deconstruction, and other high control group experiences (religious/non-religious) with specialization at the intersection of LGBTQIA+ identity. I love supporting folks of all genders/orientations in exploring gender, sexuality, and identity. There is always more to learn about ourselves, who we are in the world, what our needs are for ourselves, our relationships, and what brings us joy! I love working with other therapists, those new to therapy, or who have been in therapy a long time and have not gotten what they need from it.

I view life as story and the process of therapy as understanding and rewriting our stories. We all possess what we need to break patterns that are no longer serving us and sometimes we need a little help along the way. It can be difficult to create our own unique stories in a world that is constantly telling us who we should or shouldn’t be. My goal is to help you discover what is and is not working for you in your current story and support the cultivation of new possibilities alongside you to help you live as your most wild, healed, and authentic self. I take a gentle, compassionate, and collaborative approach to therapy.

With extensive experience supporting transgender and gender-expansive individuals, I am honored to work with clients from the LGBTQIA2S+ community and beyond.
Every person needs a secure space where they can become their most authentic selves. I strive to approach therapy with radical genuineness, compassion, warmth, and humor. I believe that therapy at its best is a creative, judgment-free space between equals. This creates an environment where you can be yourself and learn to manage thoughts and emotions getting in your way. I like to incorporate techniques from DBT, ACT, Person-Centered Therapy, Anchored Relational Therapy, body-centered approaches, sports psychology, body positivity, trauma-informed practices, and a dash of geek culture references.

My ideal clients are adolescents, young adults, and adults, especially within the 2SLGBTQ+ community, gender diverse, and other, even intersecting marginalized individuals. Those of you who are ready to explore who they are beneath what they've been given. You may be navigating gender-affirming care, healing from religious trauma or cult experiences, processing family estrangement, or standing at a meaningful crossroads. Together, we will use narrative, reality, and person-centered approaches to gently sift through what does not serve you, and build something that actually reflects who you are.

In my view, therapy provides a space to navigate our life story with honesty and compassion, with someone who cares. My role is to build safety with you and to support you in seeing yourself the way you need to be seen. Guided by your values and wisdom, we will collaborate on deconstructing what no longer serves you and strengthen what helps you live a full and authentic life. I do my best work with adults (21+) and especially enjoy working with Queer/Trans folks. I get excited to support folks in navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, shame, boundaries, self-esteem, fatphobia, and gender & sexuality exploration.

Much of my work is centered around gender – from issues surrounding identity exploration, to social/medical transition, to gender dysphoria, to gender-identity-related interpersonal challenges.
I believe the single most important component of therapy is the unique and authentic relationship that is forged between therapist and client. Beyond this, my therapeutic approach is guided primarily by cognitive behavioral therapy, existentialism, and feminist therapy which together encourage empowerment, responsibility, authenticity, and acceptance.

I have in-depth experiences working with attachment disruptions, trauma, "big behavior," ADHD and ASD, suicidal ideation and self-injury, and queer and transgender identity navigation.
As a systemic therapist, I think of people kind of like nesting dolls: we all go through life as the little one in the middle, whole and independent, yet undeniably embedded in larger contextual structures. My approach is relational in nature, and in therapy I will meet you with compassion, humor, and non-judgment, holding your whole picture in mind as we work together to integrate the realities of your context with the realities of your heart. My background and training have centered around clinical work with children and adolescents in high-acuity settings.

As someone with marginalized identities, I am particularly interested in working with folks around race, gender identity, sexual orientation, kink, and nonmonogamy. I have a lot of experience working with the LGBTQ community, specifically the transgender community, as well as experience working in reproductive and sexual healthcare.
I see therapy not as a surgical procedure to fix brokenness, but rather as a process similar to exercise—aimed at enhancing our existing strengths, resilience, and capacity for growth. I work to cultivate a safe space where individuals can sift through the noise of every day stress and painful memories of the past to discover new pathways forward. I strive to understand clients’ stories within the context of the many different systems surrounding them. I believe that our collective healing and liberation is tied to one another and that therapy can help us to reconnect to ourselves so we can better show up in our community.

Transgender Therapists
As a gender-diverse individual, why might I want to see a therapist who is also gender diverse?
A trans or gender-diverse client may want to see a therapist who is also trans or gender diverse because the client may feel safer sharing their experiences and more confident that the therapist will understand, validate, and support them. But trans or gender-diverse clients can also benefit from therapy with cisgender therapists; this is a personal decision based on the connection between the client and the therapist, and if that connection is strong, therapy will be successful.

What if I cannot find a therapist who shares my gender identity?
Therapy can still be effective if a therapist does not share a client’s gender identity; a large body of research indicates that the most important factor in successful therapy is the therapeutic alliance. A therapist can also be interviewed for sensitivity and competence on gender identity and expression to ensure they possess appropriate knowledge and skills. Many therapists have excellent training and extensive experience working with gender-diverse clients, and that expertise can be invaluable despite a therapist not sharing the same firsthand experiences.

How can I recognize a good therapist for working with gender-diverse clients?
An experienced therapist should be able to help clients explore their gender identity and expression, alleviate discomfort related to their gender identity, treat mental health challenges and trauma, address existing relationships and communication with family members and loved ones, and determine the next steps pertaining to nonmedical or medical gender-affirming interventions. To recognize a good therapist, clients can ask about these topics and explore their comfort and connection with the clinician.

How might I inquire about a therapist’s experience working with transgender clients?
Clients should feel comfortable asking therapists directly about their experience working with transgender or gender-diverse clientele. For example, clients may ask about the therapist’s training and education with regard to gender identity, how many trans clients they’ve worked with in the past, and what sorts of matters were discussed. You may wish to inquire how a therapist specifically supports the needs of transgender clients or clients questioning their gender identity. A good clinician who is nonetheless not the right fit for you is often happy to make referrals to others based on the concerns you articulate in a preliminary conversation.
