Do you find yourself struggling with anxiety, grief, relationships, or a loss of a sense of self that affects your day-to-day life?
Stress impacts people differently because it is different for each person. For one person, stress may look like "anxiety," and for another, it may seem like "depression." I help clients explore the intersectionalities of the role stress plays and shows up in their lives and help to give them tools to face the challenges of life's stress.

I specialize in grief therapy and I am passionate about helping people work through their grieving process.
Life can be difficult. All of us face challenges, setbacks, and painful emotions. When the weight of it all feels too heavy to bear alone, I'm here to listen and support you. You don't have to walk alone in your journey. Showing vulnerability takes courage. Healing often requires us to face parts of ourselves we would rather avoid. But in the end, we are all human - imperfect and complex. There is no shame in seeking therapy and support. In fact, it demonstrates remarkable strength. Sometimes, taking the first step is difficult and I recognize the courage this takes. I understand how hard it can be to reach out for help.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I offer a systemic and trauma informed lens that takes into account all the systems in which we live, and by which we have been informed, molded, and taught. The relational patterns we find ourselves in that are no longer working for us can be examined compassionately and changed from within if we are willing to be courageous and kind to ourselves. I use a combination of somatic modalities and interventions such as Somatic Experiencing (SE) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) as I work with adults and couples who are going through a variety of life transitions and relational struggles.

Do you sense that parts of you are in conflict — outwardly capable, yet inwardly unsettled? Carrying the weight of the past while trying to build something stable in the present, you’re not alone. Many of my clients are immigrants, first-generation professionals, or individuals navigating identity, trauma, and major life transitions. On the outside, things may look “fine,” but internally there can be anxiety, pressure, disconnection, or a sense that something deeper needs attention.
Whether you’re feeling stuck or overwhelmed, this therapy can be a meaningful place to start having a dialogue between the different "shades of you."

Grief Therapists
How long does therapy take for grief?
There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.
When should you seek therapy for grief?
Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.
Can grief be managed without therapy?
Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.
What happens if grief is left untreated?
Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
