If you’re in search of an encouraging, welcoming, and comforting space to help guide you through the challenges life brings, I look forward to partnering with you on your journey. I work with individuals (ages 13+) and couples. I am passionate about working with individuals and couples in all stages of their infertility journey as well as those who are childless not by choice. Navigating this can be very overwhelming and can often feel isolating, so I hope to provide support, compassion, and a space to feel recognized and heard while processing through challenging emotions and decisions.

Hello! I work with children (ages 8+), teens, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, loss, and life transitions. I engage children with play and creavity, helping build emotional awareness and feel understood while also partnering closely with parents. I offer a warm, relational space where you can show up exactly as you are—your mess is welcome here. Together, we'll explore what's getting in the way, make sense of patterns that no longer serve you, and build on the strengths you already have. With my life coaching background, I bring the belief that change is possible.

I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience working with adults throughout the lifespan. More people than ever are experiencing issues related to burnout, isolation, loneliness, grief, illness and trauma. Sometimes it is too difficult to address these issues alone. I especially enjoy helping older adults transition and manage issues related to aging, caregiver stress, retirement, chronic illness, and grief/loss. I am client centered, relational, holistic in my approach and welcome LGBTQIA, BIPOC as well as neurodivergent clients.

Welcome, I’m Fatxi. I work with adults navigating the impact of complex trauma, particularly childhood and relational experiences that continue to shape how they see themselves, connect with others, and move through the world today. Many of my clients have learned to keep going, anticipate others’ needs, and carry responsibilities that leave little room for themselves while also carrying anxiety, depression, a harsh inner critic, self-doubt, emotional overwhelm, or a persistent sense of bracing for what might go wrong.

I believe that many mental health symptoms stem from a person’s sincere attempt to feel safe, understood, and valued. This perspective guides my work with empathy, curiosity, and without judgment. I strive to create a space where you feel comfortable exploring your thoughts, emotions, and experiences while feeling supported in the process of change.

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor for the State of Minnesota with over 15 years of experience. I believe each individual deserves to have a positive therapy experience; a place where you can be seen and heard without judgement. My goal is to provide a safe space for you to explore the difficulties that are creating barriers in your growth and movement forward. I do not believe in bandaids, but in finding the core of where the psychological injury first occurred so lasting healing can happen. You are worthy of love and belonging in this world and I would love to help get you there.

Ever wonder why you shut down when you’re anxious? Or why the same emotional patterns keep repeating—no matter how hard you try to change? These aren’t just habits—they’re rooted in earlier life experiences, shaped by relationships, environments, and messages we may not even be aware of. Life tends to echo itself until we pause to understand the “why” behind what we feel and do. Therapy is not about fixing what’s “broken”—it’s about understanding what’s been carried, how it’s shaped you, and how to create space for new ways of living, feeling, and relating. If you're ready to do the deeper work, I’d be honored to work with you.

Sara currently has a waitlist for new clients. - As a mental health professional, I strive to create a safe and secure space that is free of judgement in order to facilitate exploration and inner healing. I believe establishing a therapeutic relationship based on trust, care and acceptance is so important. From my own journey with mental health, I understand how exhausting and frustrating it can be to get the help you need within the traditional mental health system. Does insurance cover therapy, prescriptions and other behavioral health services?
In general, yes. Laws in the U.S. require insurers to cover essential behavioral health care at the same level as other health care services. Most health plans require a medical diagnosis and treatments that are evidence based and medically essential. This means that life coaching and alternative therapies are not covered, nor is therapy without a diagnosis. Call the number on the back or your insurance card or visit your insurance company's website to review your Summary of Benefits. If you have insurance through your employer, your Human Resources department may also be able to answer questions.

How much does therapy cost with insurance?
The cost of therapy depends on your region, how much training and experience your therapist has, and the type of treatment. The rate for talk therapy generally falls between $100 and $250. For a client seeing an in-network provider, the cost of therapy is often similar to the cost of other health care services. Clients pay co-pays and may need to satisfy a plan’s deductible before benefits kick in.

What is the difference between In-Network and Out-of-Network insurance coverage?
An in-network provider has contracted with an insurer to get paid directly for services, and to accept the insurer’s rate of compensation. Clients are responsible for deductibles and copays. If a therapist is out of network, that means that the client pays the therapist directly for services at the therapist’s regular fee. Out-of-Network providers often give clients a receipt so that they can file for partial reimbursement with their insurance company.

Is it difficult to find an In-Network therapist?
It is not unusual for therapists to limit the number of insurance patients in their practice, so it’s important to check in-network availability when you schedule your first appointment. In regions and times where therapy is in high demand it may take longer to get scheduled with an in-network therapist.

What is the difference between HMO and PPO insurance plans?
HMO health plans only cover in-network services, there is no reimbursement for out-of-network providers. PPO plans often cover both in- and out-of-network services, though the client may pay more for out-of-network services.

What is a Superbill?
A superbill is a receipt for therapy services. It provides all the information required by insurance companies to reimburse you for out-of-network services, including the diagnostic codes for your care, the amount paid, and the dates and duration of care.

Does insurance cover Online therapy?
Many therapists who shifted their practice to online therapy during the pandemic have kept that arrangement. And most insurers continue to cover telehealth services, with a few exceptions. Preventive care (such as an annual depression screening) is often required to be in-person to be covered, and some states require prescribers of controlled substances to see those patients in person.

Does insurance cover Group therapy?
Many insurance plans provide coverage for group therapy provided there is a medical diagnosis for group members, but there are some noteworthy exceptions. For example, Medicare does not always cover group therapy. Group therapy tends to cost less than individual therapy.

Does insurance cover Couples therapy?
Most insurance companies do not cover the cost of couples therapy because there is no medical diagnosis or medically necessary treatment. However, a few plans will offer a limited benefit, so it is still worth checking with your insurance company. Sometimes therapy is covered for a couple when one person has a diagnosis and another family member joins them for joint therapy, but it is considered therapy for the medical condition that includes a family member as a listener or helper, not couples counseling. Without insurance, most clients pay between $100-300 per 60-90 min session for couples therapy. Often clients can find classes or workshops that make it more affordable to work on their relationship. And some employers offer benefit plans that help defray the cost of couples therapy. Learn more about Insurance Coverage and Finding Affordable Therapy
