My specialty is working with couples and individuals to strengthen their mental health through building secure attachments with themselves and others. Together we explore life experiences that have led to feelings of attachment insecurity and we work to build new experiences of emotionally safety and security. With couples, we explore places they get stuck and help create new communication patterns and a deeper connection to strengthen their bonds. I also work with individuals who are struggling with relationships challenges including healing from antagonistic/narcississtic relationships.

I believe that the foundation of growth begins within the relationship between individual and therapist. The desire to feel seen, heard, and understood is universal and is an essential part of our overall well-being. I celebrate the courage of individuals who take steps into healing by engaging in the therapeutic process to manifest the life they desire. I am passionate about working together to ensure that you become an expert on yourself and believe in your own insight, strength, and self awareness. I believe that humor and laughter bring out our authentic selves and utilize this philosophy in my work.

You know you have "trauma" but what does that even mean? And, can you really do anything about it: or like, don't we all just need to, like, deal with it? Well- yes and no! Trauma is a very individualized experience and understanding and although we have the option of "doing something about it" we also get to understand why it hurts so much first. My clients receive empathetic, thoughtful, and trauma-informed care rooted in self-empowerment.

I am so sorry you're struggling. I know it sucks. You don't deserve it. And you don't have to go through it alone.

In my work as an art therapist and clinical counselor, I offer a creative, supportive, non-judgmental space for those who are interested in gaining a better understanding of themselves and what their natural strengths are. As a person with ADHD, working with neurodiverse clients is a passion of mine. Especially adults who have been diagnosed later in life.

Life is hard, sometimes! Therapy provides you with that extra support as well as the opportunity to grow, evolve and learn new ways to cope with life's challenges. I believe the trust and rapport built between a client and therapist forms the foundation of all progress made in therapy. This relationship supports increasing awareness of the present, identifying what is no longer working, setting long term goals and taking small steps toward those goals. Building a life based in vitality, hope and an increased capacity for joy rather than one filled with suffering, avoidance and futility.

Navigating the complexities of life can often feel overwhelming. I've dedicated my career to exploring the philosophical, psychological, and spiritual dimensions of our experiences, helping individuals find clarity and direction for positive change. When feelings and thoughts become burdensome, relationships strain, or support feels lacking, seeking guidance can illuminate a new path forward. I believe deeply in the power of connection and approach each counseling session with compassion and commitment for you. My goal is to help you individuate, to develop who you are, in your own right.

Are you enjoying your life? Or merely enduring it? I know that doing a simple search for a therapist may seem like a small thing, but it's the first step that is going to lead to major improvements in your life. I'm here to help you with the next steps. Odds are you found me because something just isn't going right. Or maybe a lot of things aren't going right. Issues like anxiety, depression, and interpersonal problems can make the struggles of daily life seem nearly unbearable. It can seem like even the sunny days are obscured by a cloud that dulls any sense of contentment. I hear you. The good news is, I can help.

Impulse control is the number one predictor of success, use mindfulness to harness this! I offer dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), a cognitive behavioral approach to learning skills to cope with intense emotions, and an emphasis on mindfulness.
A strong therapeutic relationship can support your goals to improve relationships, learn to be regulated and live a more fulfilled life. I do this by encouraging open communication and healthy boundaries, providing psychoeducational support, processing emotional issues and trauma and teaching the art and science of mindfulness. I provide psychotherapy to teens and adults who may be experiencing behavioral and emotional issues, depression, anxiety, trauma and relational issues. I will bring intensity and humor to the dynamic, therapeutic relationship. Relationships are important for thriving in this life!

Combining these trauma therapies with CBT, solution focused, internal parts work, somatic and mindfulness-based therapies helps me facilitate culturally sensitive therapy solutions for clients to create positive change in their lives.
Albert Einstein remarked, “Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving”. At various times in our life we find ourselves challenged to do just that as we struggle to make it through the day. Using a strengths-based perspective, I will collaborate with you to understand and confront your unique challenges and empower you to find the inner strength and resources to facilitate positive healing change so you can keep moving forward. I firmly believe that while change is inevitable, being paralyzed by change is not and you have the power to construct your own unique pathway to optimal health and wellness.
