I've worked in a variety of settings over the years: in schools, community mental health, in home therapy, pregnant and parenting youth programs, grief/hospice, inpatient/residential/outpatient eating disorder treatment and college counseling. In these settings I've been fortunate to work with clients at different stages of life and circumstance. I also consult with parents who are preparing to launch their young adult to college, as this can be a confusing, challenging and emotional time for all. Additionally, I'm certified in Prepare/Enrich, working with engaged and married couples in strengthening their relationship.

If you’re feeling emotionally exhausted, stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, or simply unsure of what you need—therapy can be a space to pause, reflect, and begin again with intention. I work with clients navigating a wide range of life transitions and inner struggles—whether rooted in personal history, identity, relationships, or external pressures. Many of the people I support are college students, young adults, first-generation professionals, high-achieving students, or BIPOC individuals. They’re often juggling a lot—trying to grow, to show up for others, and to stay connected to who they are in the process.

You’ve tried to hold everything together, but inside you’re overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve you. You want healing that goes deeper than coping skills—healing that transforms your relationships, your sense of self, and your future. I help individuals and couples move through trauma, rebuild trust, and create meaningful change. If you’re navigating life transitions, relationship struggles, or the pressures of young adulthood, you don’t have to do it alone. Healing is possible, and I’d be honored to walk with you.

I focus on building a strong foundational relationship with clients, collaboratively developing self-awareness, mood-stabilizing skills and communication tools that allow for the safe reprocessing of difficult experiences and emotions. I work with people who have experienced a range of challenges, from difficulties with life adjustments to complicated trauma and loss. It is important to me that clients understand that difficult and traumatic experiences can arise from a seemingly “normal” childhood or life event. Therapeutic support and guidance for any destabilizing event or emotion is a valuable resource.

While I utilize evidence-based treatments including EMDR, CBT, IFS, and DBT therapies, I strongly believe that treatment must be tailored to each client’s needs.
I am particularly passionate about helping those who have faced traumatic experiences restore a sense of safety and wellbeing in their lives. This includes treatment of PTSD, attachment trauma, and complex PTSD using EMDR therapy as the foundation for healing. For those seeking more rapid trauma resolution I also offer EMDR Intensive Treatment options.

When you’re trying to juggle work, relationships, and everything else, it’s easy to end up feeling burned out, disconnected, or stuck. I take a calm, down-to-earth approach to therapy, with a dose of humor and zero judgment. I’m not here to “fix” you, I’m here to listen and help you make sense of what’s going on by finding practical ways to get back to feeling like yourself again.

I’m an IFS Level 2-trained and EMDRIA-certified EMDR therapist.
As a trauma therapist working primarily with c-ptsd, I view therapy as a holistic pursuit, nurturing mind, body, and spirit. The initial work centers around developing daily practices of grounding and self-leadership. These skills are essential for doing the deeper work of identifying, forming relationships, and healing the wounded parts of our ourselves which carry painful burdens or traumatic experiences.

I use CBT, EMDR, and Mindfulness based practices to address trauma, anxiety, or other challenges.
Navigating life with feelings of anxiety, despair, or negative self beliefs can feel overwhelming and isolating. Deciding to start therapy can be a courageous (and sometimes scary) step towards meaningful self understanding and change. Many of my clients struggle with relational challenges, the weight of social comparison, trauma, and/or the weight of making major life decisions - which can leave them feeling emotionally drained or disconnected. I specialize in supporting individuals through these experiences, helping them to navigate difficult relationship dynamics, emotional pain, and the inner critic that never seems to let up

EMDR Therapists
Who is EMDR for?
EMDR was initially developed as a treatment for individuals with Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), for whom memories of a deeply distressing experience can be inadvertently triggered by random everyday events. The procedure has since been applied in the treatment of many other conditions. For example, it is used by some therapists to treat anxiety disorders including panic and phobias, depression, dissociative disorders, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and some personality disorders. It is suitable for adolescents and adults.

Why do people need EMDR?
People need EMDR as a way to manage distressing memories that in some way hamper the ability to function in the present. The procedure is believed to target the way memories are stored in the brain. Evidence indicates that past disturbing experiences cause ongoing distress because they were not adequately processed, and when such memories are triggered in the present, they are accompanied by all the emotions, thoughts, and physical sensations as the initial experience.

What problems does EMDR treat?
First and foremost, EMDR is intended as a treatment for PTSD, to defuse distressing memories that intrude on and impair everyday functioning. It is also often used to help those who are subject to panic attacks, phobias, and other forms of anxiety. In addition, EMDR has been used to treat individuals with depression, eating disorders, and personality disorders.

What happens in EMDR therapy?
First the therapist takes an individual’s history, and then the therapist and client decide which distressing experience(s) will be the target(s) of the exercise, delivered via a side-to-side visual stimulus requiring lateral eye movements. The client will be asked to activate thoughts, feelings, and any body sensations related to the troubling experience. The eye movements are said to reduce the emotional charge of the memory, so that the experience can then be safely discussed with the therapist and digested, minimizing its ability to trigger anxiety.
