As you browse profiles looking for the right therapist, you will find many leading with their degrees, training and hopes that they have just the right 'cure' for what you're facing. I look at therapy and being a therapist slightly different. I don't want to imply or assume that I know more about being you than you do. I don't want to imply or assume that I know what's right or best for you. You already have that information and knowledge. My job is to help you uncover it.

Walk Talk Therapy, LLC Tammie Rosenbloom
Clinical Social Work/Therapist, MSW, LICSW

Walk Talk Therapy is just like it sounds-we are outdoors walking side by side during therapy instead of sitting inside an office. Walk Talk Therapy is a more relaxed environment than the counseling office. Walking while sharing your struggles and life situations can also be meditative. Research has consistently shown that exercise can significantly impact anxiety and stress while improving overall mood. I work with teens, adults, couples and families. If you're feeling stuck and disconnected from others, you have trouble sitting still or you want a new perspective, I welcome your email or phone call.

Since every client's presenting concern in some way or another impacts upon their brain, their mind and their body - whether that involves depression, anxiety, pain, sleep, relationship challenges, or digestive concerns - my orientation to therapy is well positioned to help people get better now and to be better positioned to stay healthier in the future.
My specialty involves the integration of my training in health psychology, neuropsychology and clinical psychology. I bring that focus to my work with individual adults, couples and to health & wellness group-based programs to address: digestive disorders (e.g., IBS); chronic pain (e.g., migraine); and aging.

I know no one who is "accidentally" in counseling or therapy. Thus, this step and this choice is often quite difficult. I embrace building rapport with my clients in a way that allows us to engage in a collaboration of unique, innovative and effective techniques to overcome the challenges, problems and/or difficulties they are facing, whether in their social, personal, or business life. I take pride in listening to my clients and trying to provide them thoughtful tools they can use long after our sessions are complete.

Have you noticed that you feel as if you have lost yourself to your own emotional reactions? Are you overworking yourself and just can't seem to get a break, where your life is hectic and not manageable? When you wake up in the morning, do you notice that you are hit immediately with feeling overwhelmed, helpless, or even hopeless? And when you think about yourself are you overcome with shame that you just can't “get over it” like there is "something wrong with me"?

Something brought you here, and it's worth paying attention to. You may be facing something that has turned your life upside down—cancer, an illness, a loss, a major transition—and you're trying to make sense of who you are now. Or maybe you're carrying a quiet heaviness: anxiety, sadness, the weight of caregiving, or the toll of trying to keep it all together. Whatever brings you here, you deserve a space to lay it down and be met with care, clarity, and real conversation. My clients describe me as warm, direct, intuitive, and calm—with a good sense of humor and an ability to hold space without judgment. Email for a free consult.

I am passionate about supporting individuals navigating complex trauma, LGBTQ+ affirming care, substance use, neurodivergence, dissociation, relationship issues, and grief. Working with folks feeling stuck, who "have tried everything," or who want more from typical therapy is highly important to me. Compassionately challenging you into who you are meant to be is our goal. My work combines Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Together, we'll help you discover hope, meaning, a deeper understanding of your identity, and a new direction in life.

Same sh#t different day? You want to feel better and your life to be better. I want that for you, too. Sometimes we know exactly what is happening and why things are as they are. Other times, it may seem more mysterious, or outside of our awareness. Understanding yourself will help to put you in the driver's seat of your own life so you can move in the direction you'd like to be going. It is both courageous and intensely rewarding to peer deeply, inquisitively at one's own self. This is what you require to grow, move forward and thrive in your life. I can help you to gain self-compassion, understanding, growth and acceptance.

Sleep or Insomnia Therapists
How effective is treatment for insomnia?
The most effective treatments for insomnia are behavioral techniques that reduce anxiety, including anxiety about falling asleep, and allow the body’s natural cycles to be recalibrated. The most common treatment is cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), which researchers have found to be more useful than medication, with rates of success as high as 80 percent.

Are there specific medications for sleep problems?
There are many medications, both over-the-counter and prescription that treat sleep problems. Supplements such as melatonin are popular and may help, though there is little evidence that it is more effective than a placebo. Prescription medications such as zolpidem are sometimes prescribed.

Are there natural treatments for sleep problems?
There are many natural treatments for everyday sleep problems. Reducing blue-light emitting screens, setting a regular bedtime, regular exercise, reducing caffeine and nicotine consumption, and keeping the bedroom dark and cool at night are all lifestyle changes that can help those who struggle with sleep but may not reach the level of an insomnia diagnosis.

What’s the difference between having trouble falling asleep and insomnia?
Life events, stress, and anxiety can lead to sleepless nights for everyone from time to time. To be diagnosed with insomnia, a patient must experience trouble falling asleep, trouble remaining asleep, waking up too early, or non-restorative sleep at least three nights per week for at least one month. Sleep problems affect one-third to one-half of the population, while chronic insomnia affects about 10 to 15 percent of people.
